Barry Wagner is considered by many to be one of the greatest players in
Arena Football League history. He has played for the Orlando Renegades
and the San Jose Saber Cats. He played both Wide receiver and Defensive
Back. during his days in the AFL. Wagner holds just about every AFL
career record for points, scoring and receptions. With 2,386 career
points scored, he is the league's all time leader in that category. He
also has scored more touchdowns (406) then anyone else in the league's
20 year history.
Wagner first made a name for himself with the Orlando Predators (1992-99), before opting for free agency, and signing with the San Jose SaberCats (2000-present) Not only is he a great player, but he also won a total of three championship rings (one with Orlando and two with San Jose). Barry Wagner is sometimes referred to as "The Grandfather of the AFL". He wore #82 while playing for Orlando.
