When Josh Kiszka publicly came out in June, he admits he was apprehensive about the reaction he might get to his heartfelt Instagram post about the “loving, same-sex relationship” he’s been in for eight years. “I was really concerned. I felt like, ‘Well, I’m going to have a target on my back,’” the singer of hard-rock revivalists Greta Van Fleet tells Rolling Stone. “You really feel that way, which is unfortunate, but it’s true.”
But the 27-year-old frontman with an operatic voice straight from the Misty Mountains had nothing to worry about.

Anyone who has attended a comic or anime convention is all too familiar with cosplayers. Whether you're the person muttering "nerd" under your breath, or the one excitedly snapping photos of all the awesome designs, you can't miss those dedicated costumed fans. Did you know that cosplay is popular among horror fans, too? We naturally love dressing up anyway (Halloween!), so it makes total sense. More and more elaborate costumes are popping up at horror conventions everywhere these days. Here are some of the creepiest, coolest, most creative horror cosplays I have come across: There is everything from the uncomfortably sexy.... As the Society noms continue to roll in, the latest comes from the Visual Effects Society as they announce their nominees for the 7th Annual Ves Awards, a ceremony recognizing outstanding visual effects in over a dozen categories of film, animation, television, commercials and video games. Of course all I really care about are the film noms, but you can check out the full list of nominees by downloading the Pdf press release right here. Iron Man led the way with five nominations and is competing with The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Hellboy II: The Golden Army and Cloverfield in the Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects Driven Motion Picture category, the category probably deemed the highest profile of the bunch and it went to Transformers last year only to see The Golden Compass pull out a surprise win at the Oscars.
