Michael Scott is a beloved character from The Office, with some pretty unorthodox methods. The regional manager of Dunder Mifflin Scranton is known for his outlandish behavior, leading some to wonder how he ever landed his job. However, as the seasons go on, fans may have noticed that Michael is more clever than he seems. On several occasions, he was a downright genius.

Today, Mexican drug lords operate here, using a fleet of children in ultra light airplanes, flying in a new type of treasure – heroin – modern gold dust. These two friends must decide between pursuing their dreams of treasure, suddenly so close, and what they know is right. "Whoever lost this money is gunna come looking for it." High Octane has unveiled an official trailer for a "rollicking western adventure for the whole family" called Gold Dust, the latest feature written & directed by (and starring) David Wall. Gold Dust is "a wild adventure of treasure and ghosts, mirages and orphans, shattered dreams and lost loves. It blends the stark deadly beauty of the desert with a villain so disarmingly dangerous he becomes terrifyingly elegant. Classical music. Thundering opera. Rattlesnakes and precious gems. Mansions and gold mines. Friendship and despair. Hope. Death. Love. Treasure beyond imagination always vanishes in the desert wind." The film features music from the band Cage The Elephant. And this stars David Wall, Darin Brooks, Chris Romano, Derek Severson, Garrett Marchbank, and David Wysocki. For an indie production, this actually looks pretty good. Might turn out to be a worthwhile watch. Here's the first official...

Where there's great popularity, there's sometimes an equal and opposite backlash. Pokemon has occasionally been accused of promoting everything from Satanism to animal cruelty. The book Why Knock Rock, published in 1984, warned of the morally corrosive dangers hidden in the music of Judas Priest, Kiss and Led Zeppelin.
Before all this, there was the moral panic surrounding Dungeons & Dragons. From humble beginnings, the role-playing game quickly became a phenomenon in the 1970s, taking the company behind it - Tactical Studies Rules, founded by Gary Gygax - from a tiny cottage industry to a 600-strong firm by the end of the decade.

On May 15th, Scorpion Releasing, in conjunction with Camelot Entertainment, presents Mortuary.
Bill Paxton, Christopher George, and Lynda Day George star in this tale of horror-filled nightmares that comes startlingly close to reality.
Christie Parson (Mary McDonough) has been having terrifying nightmares ever since her father drowned in the family swimming pool. She knows his death was not an accident, but no one believes her. That is, until her boyfriend Greg (David Wallace) sees a hooded figure, identical to the one that Christie has described as being in her nightmares, in the town's mortuary. But is it real, or is it all in Christie's mind?

Back in the Eighties some cool cover art was all we needed to get us to rent a VHS tape and run home excited. True, more often than not the artwork was not at all reflective of the content, but we still didn't regret it. In fact, I remember renting Mortuary dozens of times for the box art alone.

Hitting movie theaters this weekend:
Happy Feet Two - Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Pink
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 - Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner
Movie of the Week
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1
The Stars: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner
The Plot: The Quileute and the Volturi close in on expecting parents Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses different threats to the wolf pack and vampire coven.
The Buzz: The only drawback to having to choose a movie of the week becomes apparent on weeks such as this one, wherein I have absolutely zero interest in any of the new releases. First of all, I hated what I saw of the first Happy Feet, and the trailer for Happy Feet Two advertises a film which looks to be about as bearable as swallowing a glass full of shards of glass. And so, the...

Officers, "Secret Santa" was a holiday gift just for us: a silly, surprisingly earnest ensemble episode. I was excited for this going in -- holiday episodes are an Office strong suit, and Mindy Kaling writes many of my favorite group stories ("Ben Franklin," "Diwali," "The Injury," "Golden Ticket"...). This didn't disappoint. It was a throwback that played to the show's strengths, drawing out the dorky but begrudgingly loving moments between many of the characters. I'm giving this episode five golden rings.... Part of what I loved here was that everyone got his or her moment to shine. Dwight joked that...
