Matthew McConaughey has had one of the strangest career arcs of any actor working today. McConaughey rose to prominence in the 1990s thanks to his collaborations with great directors. Having worked with Richard Linklater, Joel Schumacher, Robert Zemeckis, John Sayles, and Steven Spielberg, McConaughey had no shortage of experienced filmmakers to draw inspiration from. If I remember correctly, the story goes that they stole some police uniforms from their cousin and then drove around the greater Boston area Cops-tv-style telling people to “keep it movin’.” I just recalled that this video existed two days ago, and I re-watched it, and I re-loved it. Telling people to keep it movin’ is a very funny thing.
