- Bespectacled, balding and very prolific German character actor and cabaret performer, on stage from 1912. He reached the peak of his popularity after World War II on radio RIAS Berlin. In 1970 he became the world's oldest disc jockey with his program "Ewalds Schlagerparade" (Ewald's Hitparade) from the 27th January 1970 till the 26th January as moderator.
- He already began his film career in 1919 with the silent movie "Margots Freier" (1919), but his real breakthrough came with the talkies.
- After the war he got many film offers too, especially in the 50's.
- He also took part in many entertainment movies during wartime like "Frau Luna" (1941), "Der Gasmann" (1941), "Münchhausen" (1943) and "Die Feuerzangenbowle" (1944).
- The actor Ewald Wenck belonged to the most busy support actors of the 30's and 40's, and many of his movies belong to the milestones of the German film history.
