Yes, Pro Wrestlers Vs. Zombies is a real movie, and today we have a trailer for it for you to watch. This movie is exactly what the title says it is, and it's an insanely ridiculous concept that you're either going to love or hate. It's just one of those movies that spews absurdity.
It was written and directed by Cody Knotts, and it stars "Rowdy” Roddy Piper, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, “The Franchise” Shane Douglas, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, and Matt Hardy. They play a group of wrestlers (obviously) who are part of an event at an abandoned prison. As you might guess, the abandoned prison is overrun with zombies. Here's a lengthy detailed synopsis:
“Pro Wrestlers Vs. Zombies” is exactly as it sounds — sports entertainment icons and local ring talent using their signature fighting styles, athleticism and anything they can get their hands on to fend off the undead.

Matthan Harris, creator of the independent horror flick The Infliction, has announced that Italian composer Marco Werba will be writing the score for the film. To go along with this news, Harris supplied us with a new set of stills.
Werba, whose credits include Timo Rose's Beast, Fearmakers, and Braincell won the Fantasy Horror Award in 2010 for his score in Dario Argento's Giallo (see a picture of the two men below). You can learn more about him via the official Marco Werba website.
The Infliction stars genre favorites Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, Doug Bradley and Giovanni Lombardo Radice alongside Matthan Harris, Lindsay Hightower, Charles Duran, Gerardo Davila and Amy Erin Amory. The flick also marks the first time Bill Moseley and Doug Bradley have acted together (as Mr. O'Hara and Agent Wilson, respectively).
Synopsis:

The producers of the new sci-fi shocker Braincell gave Fango the exclusive first look at the movie’s trailer; check it out below the cut. The preview features a nice amount of blood, and also a bit of skin, so it ain’t work-safe!
Directed by Alex Birrell and lensed in Liverpool, England and Naples, Italy, Braincell (which we last covered here) stars Raine Brown as a young woman who discovers horrifying experiments with violent results taking place at a university where her uncle (Joe Zaso, also one of the producers) is a professor. Darkness Surrounds Roberta’s Eileen Daly, Necroville’s Billy Garberina and Colour From The Dark’s Eleanor James co-star; the music is by Marco Werba, who’s also scoring Dario Argento’s new Giallo. “There’s a lifetime’s worth of horror-film watching in Braincell,” Birrell tells us, and Zaso adds, “It’s a very savage...

Upcoming Film Scores lists the ten most exciting, promising and anticipated film scores of 2009, according to its editor Mikael Carlsson who can't wait to hear what will come out musically of these projects:
1. Avatar (James Horner)
Director James Cameron and composer James Horner are of course best known for the multi-zillion-whatever-megahit Titanic, but they also gave us Aliens in 1986 which stands out as one of the most exciting nailbiter scores in sci-fi history. On that film, Cameron gave Horner a pretty hard time as judging from the composer interview on the special edition DVD, and basically what you hear in the film is the result of a composer writing under enormous pressure. On Avatar, the situation is the complete opposite. A luxury in film scoring today, the total time given to the scoring process on this film will probably exceed one year! Horner is currently working exclusively on this film,...

The wait is over, horror fans! The composer for Dario Argento’s next movie, Giallo, has finally been announced! You can rest easy tonight knowing that yes, Argento’s next film will have a score!
Sorry, got a bit carried away. Anyway, said composer’s name is Marco Werba, whose previous works include the indie films Darkness Surrounds Roberta and Timo Rose’s Fearmakers and Beast. Wow, from working with Timo Rose to working with Dario Argento? Not a bad move at all!
Giallo is the story of an American detective (Adrien Brody) who teams with an American stewardess (Emmanuelle Seigner) to find the girl’s sister, who’s been abducted by a serial killer known only as “Yellow”. And as long as Argento avoids using midgets or monkeys in this one, it might be worth watching!

Upcoming Film Scores reports that Spanish composer Marco Werba (pictured) has been tapped to score Dario Argento’s Giallo. Werba begins recording the music for the Italian maestro’s latest this Friday with members of the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra.
Giallo, scripted by Jim Agnew and Sean Keller, is Argento’s own homage to the murderous subgenre he helped create in the ’70s, and follows an Italian detective (Adrien Brody) as he helps an American stewardess rescue the latter’s sister, who has been kidnapped by a serial killer called “Yellow.” Emmanuelle (The Ninth Gate) Seigner, Elsa (Snakes On A Plane) Pataky and Robert Miano also star. Werba has experience on the giallo side of the genre, having provided the score for Giovanni Pianigiani’s recent Darkness Surrounds Roberta; he also did the music for Timo Rose’s Fearmakers and upcoming werewolfilm Beast. You can find out more about those movies...
