General Hospital (Gh) spoilers report Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) are officially a couple — and in love.
Spontaneously, love was in the air at Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) wedding to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Maxie couldn’t contain her true feelings anymore.
That being said, the fans are chattering that there might be more drama ahead before these two can really share any kind of happily ever after.
Did it all come too easy? We did wait more than a year for Spinelli to declare his love for the Maxonista, but will her worst fears of breaking his heart again come true? Or will they ride off into the sunset — finally?
One has to wonder whether the next big day Maxie will plan will be her own wedding day to Spinelli. Can they make it down the aisle this time while keeping their sanity and family intact?...

General Hospital (Gh) spoilers tease that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) better hope he has nine lives like the proverbial cat who got the cream.
That’s because he’s pushing his luck by becoming a Pcpd police officer after being Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) mob goon. What could go wrong? Here’s exactly what could go wrong, keep reading to discover how Dex could be courting danger.
General Hospital Spoilers – Is Dex Heller Courting Danger?
Dex is making the drastic career move to convince Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), and to be honest, himself, that he is better than he has behaved in the past. Dex almost killed on Sonny’s orders and it was this revelation that caused Joss to dump him.
But weirdly enough, Joss is not pleased that Dex wants to get on the straight and narrow path. As she wisely points out, Sonny could have Dex eliminated for being a turncoat.

Two actors who left General Hospital years ago are opening up about what led to their exits from the long-running soap opera series.

Nicolas Bechtel played Spencer Cassadine back in 2013 and then returned for a guest appearance in 2020. His role was recast a year later.
Ryan Paevey played the role of Nathan West from 2013 to 2018, when the actor decided to leave the show. The character was killed off.
So, what did they have to say about General Hospital and the fans?

It almost sounds like a Hallmark movie. Young man grows disenchanted, decides to seek a simpler life.
But Ryan Paevey isn’t following a script. Instead, he is re-evaluating things.
“Sadly, no word of a [Hallmark] film,” Paevey wrote via X on Tuesday after fans asked whether he’d be in any new projects this year. “I may take 2024 off from filming, unless the project is with friends.”
He added, “The last 8 months of life in this industry have left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth, and I need some time away from a world so full of fake friends and empty promises.”
Paevey said that he’s “weary” about jumping back into acting.

Ryan Paevey was one of the Hallmark hunks who starred in several movies for the channel over the years.
He also starred as the hunky police officer, Nathan West, on General Hospital.
Before getting into soaps and film, Ryan did modeling work and appeared in several movies.
The actor had yet to announce any upcoming projects with Hallmark, which prompted concerned fans to worry about his future with the popular channel.
Unfortunately, it seems Ryan doesn’t have anything planned for 2024 for Hallmark at this point, and he is considering walking away from acting.
This isn’t the news Mr. Darcy fans hoped to get from him.

It’s been a huge week in the land of soap operas, not only in front of the camera but behind the scenes, too. Time to look through some of the biggest daytime drama news stories from the past week.
General Hospital Spoilers – Two Major Days Comebacks
Hold on to your hats, Days Of Our Lives (Dool) fans, because there are two massive returns on the horizon. Soap veteran and Another World alum, Stephen Schnetzer will reprise his 1970s role on the show, returning as Steve Olson, Julie Williams’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) brother.
He didn’t offer too many details during his appearance on The Locher Room when he talked about his Dool return; however, it seems as if his comeback could be linked to the tribute the soap is planning for the late and great Bill Hayes (Doug Williams).

Hey, remember "Basic"? I'm guessing there's a good chance you don't. The 2003 thriller boasted a reunion of "Pulp Fiction" stars John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, but that wasn't enough to entice audiences, and it flopped at the box office. But yesterday's box office flop is today's Netflix hit! And "Basic" is burning up the Netflix charts right now — it's currently in Netflix's top 10. Why does this keep happening? Why do movies that time forgot keep ending up becoming hits on Netflix? I think the answer is simple: people want disposable entertainment, and you don't get more disposable than "Basic."
The thriller was helmed by John McTiernan, and as of this writing, it's the last film McTiernan directed. Maybe that's what's drawing people in here. Maybe couples are gathered around their TV and/or computers, asking each other, "Is John McTiernan's final movie streaming? That's what I'm in the mood for tonight!

“Days of Our Lives” is the most nominated program of the year at the Daytime Emmys with 27 bids, and it’s the front-runner to win Best Drama Series for the second year in a row according to the combined predictions of hundreds of Gold Derby users who have made their forecasts here in our predictions center. But nothing is set in stone. The Daytime Emmys are decided based on sample episode submissions, which are the great equalizer, so watch out for a big upset.
“Days” submitted an episode in which Abigail (Best Actress nominee Marci Miller) fights against her alternate personality Gabby in her own mind, and then another episode in which Lani (Sal Stowers) imagines the life she might have led while undergoing an emergency C-section.

Dominic Zamprogna has earned his third Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor for playing Detective Dante Falconeri on “General Hospital.” The role brought him previous nominations in this category in 2014 and 2016. The actor exited “Gh” earlier this year after playing the role since 2009, so will Emmy voters send him off with his first win?
These awards are decided by blue ribbon panels viewing sample performance reels from each actor. Although the Daytime Emmys did not release the drama acting reels to the public this year, they have been made available to the press. Below is an overview of Zamprogna’s submission.

And we're back!
This week on General Hospital, Port Charles dealt with the aftermath of Detective Nathan West's death, while others had, uh, stuff going on too, I guess.
To be honest, Friday's episode – which focused in its entirety on Nathan's funeral – was so much better than the entire rest of the week combined. So I'm going to start with that, even though it's not chronologically first!
It was a smart move to make 100% of Friday all about Nathan, with no cutaways to ancillary other characters that would have pulled viewers out of that storyline.
I continue to be totally devastated by Michelle Stafford's performance. She is playing Nina's anger, shock, and heartbreak perfectly.
Michelle was one of my stars of the week, giving far and away one of the best performances. Her delivery of the speech at Nathan's funeral had me straight-up sobbing! The fact that Nina...

This is one way to beat the summer heat. After her surprising (well, at least to us) exit on Grey's Anatomy, actress Chyler Leigh seems ready to start her new journey with a completely new look. A very short, chop-it-all-off kinda look. The former Grey's actress debuted the new hairstyle last night at The Thirst Project's third annual gala in Los Angeles, where she attended the red carpet alongside her hubby Nathan West. Leigh paired her uber-short cut with a strapless, sweetheart cut gown by Kevan Hall that made her look absolutely stunning. Plus, it takes guts to chop it all of like that—so, kudos to her.

Photo courtesy of Tribeca Film / credit: Nathan West Over the past three decades, Vincent D'Onofrio has amassed a diverse, respected career as a genius character actor in movies such as Full Metal Jacket, Men In Black, Mystic Pizza, and The Player, and many more know him best as the intense Detective Goren on Law and Order: Criminal Intent. In 2005, D'Onofrio directed himself as a cinematic legend in the short film Five Minutes, Mr. Welles, and he's now moved on to a feature project: a low-budget 'slasher musical' (in which he does not act) called Don't Go in the Woods, which debuts today on nationwide VOD. (Find a screen near you here.) While the story is credited to D'Onofrio, he enlisted two of his buddies to flesh out the screenplay: Joe Vinciguerra and Sam Bisbee, the latter of whom also wrote the songs that serve as the soundtrack for the movie.

His ability to do the honestly report the facts despite pressure from his mentor, who may or may not be the editor of a powerful newspaper? Alleged would argue it's the latter. We know, that's a pretty specific choice and thus not really applicable to other judgments of character, but that doesn't make it any less valid. What's more, Alleged has won (received?) the Dove Foundation's "Family Approved" seal of approval. Now that's a pedigree few films can match. What does that mean for you the viewer? No sex, no swearing, no violence, and a whole lot of good ol' fashioned moral fiber. Mmmm mmm, yum. If the wholesome story of ethics and love in the face of corruption sounds like you're cup of tea, then you might want to check out Alleged,...

Brian Tyler has recently scored the upcoming indie production Brake. The film is directed by Gabe Torres who previously collaborated with Tyler on the composer’s first feature film Bartender. Nathan West and James Walker are producing and James Mathers (The U.S. vs. John Lennon) is the film’s cinematographer. Not much is known yet about the movie, but production on the film has recently been finished and the project is screening for buyers this month. In a recent interview with the Australian website TheVine, Tyler mentioned that his score for Brake is purely electronic. No word yet on when the movie will be coming out.
In the interview, Tyler also talks about his recent score for Fast Five, which turned out to be the most successful movie of his career to date, as well as his upcoming TV project Terra Nova, which the composer will be scoring later this summer.
