As a military brat, Josh traveled all over the world. It wasn't until
the age of 10 did Josh become actively involved in dance and theater.
While attending high school in the U.K., Josh read and was cast in
Waterland by Stephen Gyllenhaal. Josh attended Elon University with a
theater scholarship under Fred Rubeck. While attending Elon, Josh was
nominated for the Irene Ryan competition, a prestigious competition
held at the Kennedy Center, Washington DC, for his performance in Hell
Hath No Fury, written and directed by Braden Weeks, by an adjudicator
from the Kennedy Center American College Theater.
