- Roberts is not only one of the first female designers in computer game industry, but also one of the best-selling ones.
- Husband, Ken Williams, was the founder and a CEO for over 20 years of On-Line Systems (which in 1980 became Sierra On-Line). In its early days he took on the daunting task of programming Roberta's hand-written game concept into the first graphic-text adventure game ever created. Dubbed Mystery House, the game's marriage of text and graphics became the standard upon which all other graphics adventures were measured.
