In team interviews, The Widowmaker expressed an interest in getting his hands on Bret Hart, one of the opposing team's members. By the time Thanksgiving arrived, The Widowmaker was replaced by The Canadian Earthquake, John Tenta. He asked for his release after his brother Kendall and his father were getting ready to go to jail on counterfeiting charges.
