- Bhob Stewart was born on November 12, 1937 in Meridian, Mississippi, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for The Year the Universe Lost the Pennant (1961), Pounds O' Love (1980) and Man Outside (1965). He died on February 24, 2014 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA.
- Coined the term "underground comics" during a panel discussion at the first major comic book convention of the mid-1960s. Noting the then-familiar usage of the term "underground film," he predicted a similar reaction against the formulaic mainstream would happen in the comics industry. No underground comics existed when he predicted the birth of "underground comics," so no one in the hotel meeting room was very clear on exactly what he was describing.
