- Tony Oliva was born on July 20, 1940 in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. He is an actor, known for Crime Patrol (1993), Going the Distance (2000) and Thérèse: The Story of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (2004).
- Played baseball, mostly as an outfielder and designated hitter, for the Minnesota Twins from 1962-1976.
- Eight times was selected to play for the American League in Major League Baseball's All-Star Games (1964-1971).
- Inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022; elected by the Golden Days Era Committee.
