Advertising conglomerate Interpublic Group has finalized a deal to acquire a minority stake in Endeavor Marketing, the New York-based marketing arm of Endeavor, sources said. One of the primary attractions for Interpublic was Endeavor Marketing's relationship with American Express as well as other top brands including Target and Entertainment Weekly. Endeavor Marketing was formed in September 2003 when former Interpublic sports and entertainment executive Mark Dowley left the ad giant to form a partnership with the powerhouse Hollywood talent and literary agency. Dowley spearheaded the alliance with Interpublic along with Endeavor partner Ariel Emanuel and marketing executive James Yaffe.
