Born and raised in New England, David Collupy has always been a natural storyteller. In his adolescent days he experimented with 8mm film with his friends. During his college days he was an on-air radio disc jockey at WMWM in Salem, Massachusetts, and he also immersed himself in shooting and editing with video through his college's Media Department as well as Salem Access Television. After working on some local independent productions in the New England area, he decided to move to Southern California.
In Los Angeles and the surrounding area, David worked mostly on independent films as a cinematographer. As a bass player and songwriter he also co-founded the ambient-metal band, 66 Steps.
In the visual medium, he found a niche in the horror genre and various eclectic filmmaking. Some projects brought him to New York City as well as various locations around the world including England and Kenya. Eventually he began to transition more into directing and producing.
After two decades in Hollywood, David decided it was an opportune time to leave California and he relocated to the Ozarks where he is based and pursuing new projects in filmmaking and creative media.
