Exclusive: First Look Media’s streaming service Topic has gone shopping ahead of its launch, striking deals with BBC Studios and Keshet International.
The U.S. streaming service has picked up a slew of titles, including a number of exclusives, from BBC Studios and Keshet International.
From BBC Studios, the streamer has picked up BBC Three comedy Enterprice and cop thriller Moses Jones, while from Keshet International, it has taken titles including dystopian drama Autonomies, Commandments and dark comedy Stockholm (pictured).
The shows will part of Topic’s launch, which kicks off today.

“Stockholm” is heading to Canada after Keshet International sold the drama series to Gem, the streaming service of Canadian pubcaster CBC. The drama deal was one of several inked by Ki.
Gem is is the first international buyer of “Stockholm,” which launched at Tiff and is based on the bestselling book by Noa Yedlin. The Israeli black comedy stars a group of 70-somethings who cover up a friend’s death so that he can win a Nobel Prize posthumously. It is currently being adapted for U.S. audiences by Keshet Studios.

Israeli black comedy Stockholm is being adapted for the U.S. by The Brave producer Keshet Studios.
The international sales division of the Israeli firm previously took worldwide distribution rights to the four-part series, which was produced by Artza Productions, and now its La-based scripted division, which is run by Peter Traugott, is developing a local remake.

Amazon Studios’ Julia Roberts-fronted TV drama Homecoming will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, leading the event’s TV line-up.
The psychological thriller, which is based on the eponymous podcast, will screen its first four episodes as part of Tiff’s Primetime series, which runs September 6 through September 16.

Tiff top brass on Thursday (August 16) unveiled the Primetime sidebar of TV selections including the first four hours of Amazon Studios’ Julia Roberts psychological TV thriller Homecoming, while Taika Waititi makes his first visit to the festival as part of a diverse industry programme.
Homecoming, directed by Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, is based on the podcast by Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg about the truth behind a military reintegration facility.
