The energy was as high as the seafood towers at last night’s 15th annual Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner, hosted by Chanel at famed downtown Manhattan brasserie Balthazar. The long list of luminaries in attendance on June 13 included Tribeca co-founder Robert De Niro; actresses Penelope Cruz, Tommy Dorfman, Diana Silvers, Rebecca Dayan, Dianna Agron, Whitney Peak and Sadie Sink; artists Derrick Adams and Chloe Wise; and actors Andrew Garfield, Kyle MacLachlan and B.J. Novak.
“It’s pretty incredible,” curator Racquel Chevremont said of the feeling in the air. “I was not expecting this at all. When I pulled up I was like, ‘The street is closed?’”

Often, the best movies tell a very simple story but they tell that story extremely well and Hall, featured at both Frightfest and Blood in the Snow festivals, is no different. From the very start we see a group of people in a hotel hallway, struggling with a debilitating sickness that seems to have spread through them all, each trying to escape the horror of it.
Like I say, this is all in the opening scene so where does it go from there? Well maybe unsurprisingly the movie goes back in time to show us some of the stories about why people are in the hotel and the issues they are having there. The locations don’t stray away from the hotel though...

Jay-Z will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, by minting and selling his first non-fungible token.
For the Nft, Jay-Z tapped artist Derrick Adams to create a one-of-a-kind animated digital piece inspired by the Reasonable Doubt cover. The new piece is titled Heir to the Throne, which was originally supposed to be the title of Reasonable Doubt.
The Heir to the Throne Nft will be auctioned off online via Sotheby’s. Bidding starts at $1,000, and the auction will run from today, June 25th, to July 2nd at 10 a.

Last week, City of Hope, a world-renowned independent research and treatment center, raised more than $4 million at a black-tie gala honoring Epic Records Chairwoman and CEO Sylvia Rhone.

The funds will go toward the nonprofit biomedical institution’s research to find improved treatments for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. Held at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar, the annual event featured a one-of-a-kind duet performed by Alicia Keys and Sara Bareilles, as well as performances from Yolanda Adams and En Vogue. Eric H. Holder Jr., 82nd attorney general of the United States, presented Rhone with the prestigious Spirit of Life award.
Yolanda Adams opened the ceremony with a heartfelt performance, wowing the crowd with a medley of her favorites including “Just a Prayer Away”, “Open My Heart”, and “Someone Watching Over You.”
