Cassie Gill is an entertainment journalist best known for her work on Canada's popular morning show, CTV Morning Live. At CTV/Bell Media - Canada's largest broadcaster - she appeared on-air breaking down entertainment headlines, oversaw lifestyle editorial content and also managed the program's digital brand. During her 5 years with the show (2011-2012, 2014-2019), she reported on and attended some of entertainment and fashion's most elite events, including The Academy Awards, The Oscars, The Emmy Awards, The Daytime Emmy Awards, London and Paris Fashion Weeks and more.
She began her television career under her aunt, Asha Gill, who was a producer or crew number on a number of Vancouver-shot television series including The Chris Issak Show, Arrow, and Canada's Next Top Model. This lead to Gill's first studio television job in Los Angeles at CBS Daytime, working in production at The Bold and the Beautiful and the Young and the Restless from 2010 - 2011. Gill worked on a number of remote location shoots on The Bold and Beautiful throughout that year, which ended up earning a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series.
Her other experiences include working the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games, working with a number of sponsors on their publicity and digital efforts, and also helping entertainment media outlets like the Toronto Film Festival, The Oscars, The Grammys, Variety and the Hollywood Reporter with their real-time award show coverage as content creator at Toronto-based startup, ScribbleLive.
As of March 2019, Gill splits her time between Los Angeles and Vancouver and is a freelance producer and journalist covering the realm of entertainment and lifestyle.
