Sky Maddas
- Actress
- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
As an artist, Sky is inherently drawn to projects that delve into feminism, queer issues, and environmental concerns. The artistic mission is clear - to challenge misinformation, stereotypes, and myths surrounding these topics through creative expression. Sky seeks to educate, highlight, and enlighten a broader audience on the rights of the LGBTQ+ community and the principles of feminism, all while inspiring a shift towards an environmentally friendly way of living.
From a young age, Sky's passion for the world of theatre was ignited at the age of 5. Growing up in a small town in Greece with limited theatrical exposure, frequent trips to Athens to witness productions fueled the desire to pursue an acting career. Despite initial opposition from parents, Sky made the bold decision to come to London, the heart of European theatre, to chase the dream.
At university, Sky delved into various theatrical methods and techniques, choosing the Stanislavsky method to explore characters' psychology and convey their intentions on stage. Emotional memory became a powerful tool to authentically portray the feelings, intentions, and actions of characters. The belief that a good actor is one who can control emotions on stage rather than simply portray them resonates deeply with Sky's approach.
Currently, Sky extends creativity to social media platforms, curating content that revolves around feminism, eco-friendly practices, and travel. The commitment to creating impactful, thought-provoking content remains at the forefront of Sky's artistic endeavors.
