Stephen: In what will hopefully become the first of many upcoming Ufc breakdowns, I’m joined by fellow WhatCulture writer and full on Mma junkie Chris O’Connor as we take a look at Ufc on FX 5.
Almost ten months have passed since the Ufc’s seven-year deal with Fox officially kicked off. Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller main evented the first official show in the broadcast agreement back on the 20th January earlier this year. This Friday the next offering is once again airing on FX with the Heavyweights taking centre stage, Travis Browne and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
Before we get into breaking down the fights, what are your thoughts on the Fox deal, what it has meant to the Ufc’s product in 2012, and how positive you think it has been up to this point?...

HollywoodNews.com: I am so sorry to read about the passing of my friend, Stephen Rivers. He was 55 and died after a long bout with prostate cancer.
So much of what’s involved in the dying of a friend and contemporary is wrapped up in when you met them. I met Stpehen in 1982 when we both worked for Jane Fonda on the 20th Century Fox lot. I was a script reader. Stephen was the in-house pr for Jane’s film company, Ipc Films. He also worked for Tom Hayden that summer on his failed bid for a seat the California State Assembly.
Over the years, Stephen and I had much common as he worked for Oliver Stone, Kevin Costner, and a host of other tough clients. He represented Mike Ovitz and worked at Creative Artists Agency during a particularly difficult time there. He started his own pr...

Stephen Rivers, a veteran independent PR consultant with highly placed clients in entertainment and politics, died early Tuesday after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was 55.
Rivers' work occasionally straddled communities in Hollywood and Washington and included more than two dozen trips to Cuba with actors and directors who sought his help navigating rules governing research trips. A highlight saw Rivers accompany Benicio Del Toro to Havana in 2008 for a Havana Film Festival screening of the movie "Che."
Jordan's Queen Rania Al Abdullah numbered among his clients. Rivers was active in state and national Democratic Party campaigns but also enjoyed close relationships with Republicans including Arnold Schwarzenegger. He served as family spokesperson for the California governor and wife Maria Shriver.
"Stephen was a great human being -- one of the best," Schwarzenegger and Shriver said. "What made him so special was his total grasp of his craft, whether it was the entertainment world,...
