Shah Rukh Khan, the badshah of bollywood who has played the character of .Rahul. in several of his films, must have heaved a sigh of relief when investigating agencies made it clear that David Cole Headley.s Rahul was Mahesh Bhatt.s son, and not Srk. The name of Rahul was mentioned by the dreaded LeT terrorist in several of his e- mails sent to his contacts in Pakistan, and also told about it to FBI officers investigating the case in the Us. Now, it has come to light that Rahul Bhatt, who was scheduled to make his bollywood debut with .Suicide bomber. (based on London.s bombings, but could never be made), was the real person mentioned in Headley.s communications. Sources say that Rahul Bhatt was friends with Headley and had also helped him in getting a flat in the breach candy area of Mumbai. However, the investigating...

Of all the heartbreaking facts contained in David Cole’s solemn new survey of the state of America’s criminal-justice system, perhaps the worst is the revelation that “a new prison opens somewhere in America every week.” Substitute “school” for “prison” and our children would be smarter. Substitute “hospital” for “prison” and our poor would be healthier. Hell, substitute “job-training center” for “prison” and we probably wouldn’t lead the civilized world in incarceration. The story of our collective effort, now well into its second generation, to “get tough on crime” is a sorry one indeed. Although crime rates are not notably better (or worse) since we last formally declared war on crime, the opportunity costs have been staggering. Leaving aside the mounting evidence that our criminal-justice system is outright unjust to African-Americans, it can no longer be rationally disputed that the actual costs of turning the United States into...

Dfc Intelligence analyst David Cole has claimed that Apple will dominate the handheld games market as DS and PSP software sales have peaked. In an interview with Edge, the industry expert predicted that mobile game sales will reach $$11.7 billion (£7 billion) by 2014, with Apple accounting for 24% of this. "The dedicated portable game systems from companies like Nintendo and Sony are still expected to lead the market, but it appears growth for these devices has peaked," he said. "The platforms (more)...

Analyst David Cole of Dfc Intelligence has claimed that Microsoft will soon begin development on a slim edition of the Xbox 360. In an interview with Industry Gamers, the gaming expert suggested that the platform holder will launch a new iteration of the console in response to Sony's recent announcements regarding the PS3 Slim. "I think it is a question of when, not if," he said. "However, the when part is a big uncertainty... rumours have been going on for a long time. I think people were asking me the same question last year at this time. "As cost efficiencies allow, smaller and more reliable is always a good thing. However, (more)...

Beloved "Battlestar Galactica" babe Katee Sackhoff has signed on for a regular role on the upcoming eighth season of Fox's "24." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sackhoff will play Dana Walsh, a CTU data analyst. The trade says that Sachhoff's character has a secret past and is involved with new CTU agent David Cole, played by Freddie Prinze Jr. We hope that "secret past" involves field work, because it would be a tremendous waste to keep Sackhoff stuck behind a computer, even if she spends quality time bickering with Chloe. It's been a brief-but-busy off-season for "24," which has already begun...

Freddie Prinze Jr. is ready to clock in on Fox's "24," but does this mean Jack Bauer will get a well-deserved break? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Prinze will be a regular on "24" Day Eight, playing David Cole, an ex-Marine who hopes to be the next Jack Bauer, now running CTU's field ops. He ought to be careful, because things haven't necessarily worked out well for Jack Bauer's proteges in the past. Has anybody spotted James Badge Dale's Chase lately? Day Eight began production on Wednesday (May 27) and the new season, which won't premiere until January, is already bursting...

When you think badass Marine turned fearless counter terrorist brawler, you of course think Freddie Prinze Jr. Right? Well the folks casting 24’s eighth season do, and they’ve just cast the former “She’s All That” star as a “recently returned ex-Marine” who is now a member of the show’s newly reconstituted CTU. Prinze will be a regular on the show, playing a character name David Cole, head of Field Ops for CTU who, according to THR, is looking to follow in the footsteps of Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). Which means, of course, lots of rules breaking, torturing, and romances with soon-to-be-dead women. Prinze Jr. joins a group of new faces on the show that includes “Slumdog Millionaire’s” Anil Kapoor as a visiting Middle East leader, Chris Diamantopoulos as the female president’s new chief of staff, John Boyd as a CTU systems analyst, and Jennifer Westfeldt...
