Thibault Becquaert, also known as Thibault Théodore (T.T.), is a Belgian director, producer and cinematographer born in Uccle, Brussels, in 1999. He founded Brussels production company Madeye in 2016, when he was 16 years old and has worked for several short and feature films.
Thibault was born in Uccle, Brussels, on 21 March 1999 and grew up in the center of Brussels. After attending the renowned Athénée Robert Catteau secondary school, Thibault studied political sciences at Saint-Louis University, Brussels (UCLouvain). He later studied at Åbo Akademi University and the University of Turku in Finland, and at the cinema departments of the universities of Montréal, in Canada, Liège, Belgium, and Stockholm University, Sweden.
From a French father and a Dutch mother, Thibault was raised in English, French and Dutch and is fluent in all three languages, in all of which he followed his university education.
In 2015, Thibault directed the short-film Pinda, based on his own teddy-bear. Since, he has directed and produced several projects for theaters, television and the web. In 2016, he was a jury member of the Brussels Short Film Festival (BSFF). His cinematographic career started during the summer of 2018 as a location manager for Fabrice Du Welz's 'Adoration' (2019). He later joined the Cinema department of the University of Liège in Liège, Belgium.
