Indianapolis, Indiana is a flat-out stunning city, if you've never been. It caught me off-guard (an East Coast girl now living on the West Coast) not expecting such a visually arresting, sophisticated city when visiting then Emmis radio star Monique Marvez, a successful stand-up comedian who honed a brilliant radio show "Monique and the Man" on their FM rock station. My dear friend introduced me to the town, replete with classical architecture, beautiful historical buildings, and the Monument on Monument Circle which is dedicated to the veterans of the American Civil War. Great restaurants too! The Monument is also known as "State Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument" (1902), designed by Bruno Schmitz, Germany's foremost architect of national monuments. Completed...
