There’s a new mayor in town… Mayor Fisk, that is. After his rise to the top, Matt Murdock’s classic foe takes center stage as Marvel Legacy hits Daredevil #595, written by Charles Soule with art by Stefano Landini. Of course Matt Murdock has always had the law on his side, but now that Manhattan is under new rule, the tables have been turned: and it’s the vigilante hero who is on the outside of the law, with the Mayor of Crime ruling over Manhattan…
“Mayor Fisk is really about just one thing: Kingpin becomes…the king,” says series writer Charles Soule. “On page 1 of the story, Wilson Fisk has already become the mayor, with all of the power and resources that come with the position. So, Daredevil has lost the one thing he thought he could always rely on, the place he was sworn to protect: New York City.

When we think of quintessential rivalries in the Marvel Universe, it goes without saying that few are greater than the enduring one shared by Daredevil and Kingpin. Sure, Wilson Fisk may have first appeared in 1967’s Amazing Spider-Man #50, but it’s Hornhead that we immediately associate him with. And whether it be via the awesome Netflix series or the comic books themselves, nearly every True Believer has become familiar with this saga at some point.
And soon enough, superstar scribe Charles Soule will continue doing what he does best, and that’s keeping readers on their toes. This time, he’s doing the unthinkable by – get this – making Fisk mayor of New York City! Well, we’ve always known the villain to love the city in his own special way, so let’s see what he does now that he’s legitimately in charge.

Fifteen years have passed since Stanley Kubrick’s death, but the legendary and reclusive director remains a source of continuing interest for fans of cinema. In fact, this year alone we’ve had nearly a dozen posts on the late filmmaker and since we never tire of hearing stories about Kubrick, here’s another one for the archives. The fine folks over at Dangerous Minds have tipped us off to the ongoing “Stanley & Us” project on YouTube which originally began filming interviews back in 1997 with some of Kubrick’s family, friends and collaborators. The filmmakers – Mauro di Flaviano, Federico Greco and Stefano Landini – have been uploading excerpts from their interviews with the late critic Alexander Walker, Kubrick’s daughter Katharina, his wife Christiane and Darth Vader himself, David Prowse, who appeared in “A Clockwork Orange,” among many others. We’ve embedded quite a few of the excerpts below, but if you’re.

Bittersweet news today for John Constantine fans as DC Comics announced that “Hellblazer”, the longest running Vertigo title that began as a spinoff of Alan Moore’s “Swamp Thing”, will soon be wrapping up its run with #300 in February of next year. Featuring the chain-smoking character of John Constantine, the British occult detective, “Hellblazer” first launched in 1988 and has since grown to become one of the most successful books in Vertigo’s stable of titles.
Fortunately for fans, Constantine won’t be gone for long as the publisher also revealed that a brand new series is set to arrive next year for the current Justice League Dark member.
DC Comics has confirmed that Robert Vendetti and Renato Guides will be launching a new ongoing series for the anti-hero detective that will be set within the DC’s relaunched universe. Titled “Constantine”, the upcoming series promises to keep many of the...

John Constantine has been part of the New 52 from the very beginning with the Justice League: Dark series. However, prior to the DC universe reboot back in September 2011, Constantine had his own solo title under DC's mature comic book line, Vertigo. Well news today reveals that with issue #300 in February, Constantine's Vertigo series will come to an end and a New 52 solo series for the character will begin. Issue #300 of Hellblazer will be written by Peter Milligan with art from Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stefano Landini. However in the New 52, writer Robert Venditti will launch the tile with Renato Guedes handling the art duties. Said Venditti, "He's going to be the same age that he is in Justice League Dark and the same character that people know and recognize - the drinking and smoking, the con man aspect of him - that's going to...

It’s that time again… okay, it’s a little past that normal time, thanks to the Mix March Madness wrapup, but here are the preview materials for DC Comics releases for July 2012.

We hold in our hands the covers for DC Comics this February. As a child of four can plainly see, these comics have been hermetically sealed in a Cgc 9.9 slab, and they’ve been kept in a #2 mayonnaise jar under a giant stack of returned copies of Holy Terror since noon today.
What do we have worth noting? The new look of Darkseid, and we’re far enough into the new 52 books that it’s time for Batman to start crossing over in all of them. Plus Mara Jade, the red-haired assassin who fell in love with her blond-haired man she was sent to kill– oh, I’m sorry, that’s from Star Wars. This is Mera in a jade outfit. Our mistake.
Shall we? Surely!
As usual, spoilers may lurk beyond this point.

Welcome to The Pull List Comic Reviews! Get comfy as a few titles elected to go with short stories this week, meaning we’ve got a lot to cover. As always, Warning: Spoilers Ahead.
Pull Of The Week:
Deadpool #900 – Marvel Comics – $4.99 Us
Writers: Jason Aaron, Fred Van Lente, Mike Benson, Joe Kelly, Duane Swierczynski, Victor Gischler, Charlie Huston Artists: Chris Staggs, Dalibor Talajic, Damion Scott, Rob Liefeld, Shawn Crystal, Sanford Greene, Kyle Baker
Score: 9.0
Has there been a hotter commodity in recent times than Deadpool? Hard to argue, but looking back you’ll find that the first issue of this title was launched last year amid much fanfare. Fast-forward twelve months and the character has starred in a one-shot (Deadpool: Games of Death), a mini-series (Deadpool: Suicide Kings), a second ongoing series (Deadpool: Merc With a Mouth) and an upcoming third ongoing (Deadpool Team-Up). What better way to hammer home...
