Sutton, a notorious bank robber, was on the FBI's "10 Most Wanted" list. In February of 1952 Sutton was riding in a bus in New York City when he was spotted by a local resident, Arnold Schuster, who recognized him from a wanted poster he had seen. When Sutton got off the bus Schuster followed him. When Sutton walked into a garage, Schuster called police, who soon arrived and arrested Sutton. Schuster was interviewed that night by local TV newsmen. It was later revealed that Albert Anastasia, a Brooklyn Mafia boss, saw the interview and said, "I hate squealers. Hit that guy". Two of Anastasia's killers tracked down Schuster and murdered him outside his home in Brooklyn. Sutton himself had nothing to do with the killing.
