Ole Anderson, a legendary professional wrestler best known as a founding member of the popular Four Horsemen faction alongside Arn Anderson, Ric Flair, and Tully Blanchard, has died. He was 81. WWE confirmed Ole’s passing on Monday, first online and then on-air during Monday Night Raw, referring to the iconic grappler as a “prolific and decorated tag team wrestler.” A cause of death was not given. “A founding member of The Four Horsemen, Ole’s hard-nosed style and gruff demeanor helped define the group as one of the greatest stables in sports-entertainment history,” WWE shared in a statement. “Trained by WWE Hall of Famer Verne Gagne, Anderson was a prolific and decorated tag team wrestler, most famously alongside Arn Anderson in The Minnesota Wrecking Crew,” the statement continued. “When the duo then joined forces with Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, and manager J.J. Dillon, they established the iconic stable known as The Four Horsemen.

HBO has released an intense trailer for their upcoming three-part miniseries called Gunpowder, which tells the story of British activist Guy Fawkes. The series follows Fawkes and his team of provincial English Catholics as they plan to blow up the House of Lords and kill King James I in the early 17th century.
This miniseries looks really good and it has a solid cast that includes Kit Harington, Peter Mullan, Mark Gatiss, Derek Riddell and Liv Tyler.
Even though Guy Fawkes has become the main name associated with the Gunpowder plot, thanks to V for Vendetta, he actually played a minor role in it. The main guy who led the charge was Robert Catesby, and that is who Harington is playing. For some additional information on the Gunpowder treason plot Wikipedia says:

Jon Snow fans, you won’t have to wait until “Game of Thrones” returns for your Kit Harington fix, and we’ve got a new trailer to get you hyped. Harington is starring in HBO’s upcoming three-part miniseries “Gunpowder,” which is all about the plot to blow up the House of Lords and kill King James I in the early 1600s. Harington is Robert Catesby, the mastermind behind the Gunpowder Plot in 1605 London. Catesby is a Catholic in Protestant England, which if you remember your history lessons, means he’s treated anything but well by the royals. “The Fifth of November.

The trailer for HBO’s newest miniseries “Gunpowder” makes one thing perfectly clear: Kit Harington’s hair should only be styled down. (Looking at you, Jon Snow man-bun.) In any case, the introduction to the latest three-part 17th century thriller features Harington as Robert Catesby, the driving force behind the Gunpowder Plot that enveloped London back in 1605.
Catesby, a committed Catholic, struggles to live in Protestant England where Catholics are ruthlessly persecuted. Robert Cecil, King James’ spymaster (played by Mark Gatiss of “Game of Thrones” and “Sherlock” fame), oppresses those who are openly Catholic through loss of property, torture, and death. The acclaimed cast also features Liv Tyler (“The Leftovers”) as Catesby’s cousin, Anne Vaux, and Peter Mullan (“Quarry”) as the Jesuit Father Garnet.
The series, which originally aired on BBC One, was received as a historically accurate drama with gruesome and violent scenes that shocked some unknowing viewers.

Was the BBC drama Gunpowder, in the end, a horror story?
It finished as it began: with torture and death. Anybody who knows the first thing about Bonfire Night could tell you that was going to happen. I’m glad that the director, J Blakeson, applied the same principles to these last difficult scenes as he did to the ones that kicked off the series. There was no looking away from what the state was capable of. The camera was steady as it gazed upon the decapitated head of Catesby (Kit Harington), placed outside parliament as a warning to all.

After last night's premiere, American Horror Story's sixth season is already proving to be just as creepy as the last five – and has a theme that's got some scary roots in reality.
This season's subtitle, My Roanoke Nightmare, is connected to the lost colony of Roanoke, a 1500s British settlement whose inhabitants disappeared without explanation. More than 400 years after the fact, there's still no definitive answer as to what happened.
While Roanoke in the Ahs world is still a bit of mystery, we aren't completely in the dark about its apparently real-life inspiration. Here's what we know about America's "lost colony.

If it were up to “His Airness,” the heir to his throne atop the Space Jam sequel wouldn’t be King James. While at his basketball camp, Michael Jordan was asked who he would like to see star in Space Jam 2, the follow up to the 1996 movie. While three-time NBA champ LeBron James is attached to star, Jordan said he would prefer another all star. “I would probably pick Blake Griffin,” Jordan said. While Griffin won’t get the key role in the Justin Lin-directed flick, he already has some experience with the movie. In 2014, the L.A. Clipper did a reading of the original Space Jam at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre where he played Jordan. He did so alongside Nick Kroll, Danielle Fishel and Seth Green. Griffin's fondness for the space basketball film doesn't end there. In a 2015 interview with Basketball Insiders, he said of the project,...

[[tmz:video id="0_vryk0jdu"]] It was like a scene from "Rocky III" ... LeBron James walked into a Vegas club Monday night complete with his own marching band and fireworks -- and the crowd went insane! It all went down at Marquee at the Cosmopolitan hotel -- where the club hosted a Cavs championship celebration for King James. LeBron -- following his own party advice -- got on the dance floor and jammed out to Drake's "Forever." Not a bad...

King James will not be going for gold this summer. In 2012, LeBron James joined a select few basketball greats to win a NBA Championship and an Olympic gold medal in the same year - a stunning achievement he's not looking to repeat in 2016. On Thursday, James' agent informed Team USA that the Cavs star would not be playing in this summer's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, citing his exhausting schedule topped off by six consecutive trips to the NBA finals, according to Cleveland.com"I could use the rest," James, 31, told the news outlet. It’s no secret that there’s a deluge of Hollywood remakes and reboots as of late, and “Space Jam 2” may have just secured a top-tier director.
“Fast and Furious” helmsman Justin Lin is in talks with Warner Bros to take on the project, which includes LeBron James in the lead role.
The original “Space Jam” featured Michael Jordan and a host of Looney Tunes characters, so it’s only natural that King James is perfect for the gig. Stay linked to the GossipCenter for all the latest updates.

As fully as Claire adapted to the customs and sing-song traditions of the Scottish Highlanders in Outlander’s first season, her immersion into becoming a “lady of such distinction” in 1746 Paris is a little less complete. As she, Jamie and Murtagh execute the first leg of their plan to thwart the Jacobite Rebellion in its infancy at the salacious court of King James, the trio find themselves in varying levels of appreciation for the, erm, charms of the French nobility. Meaning, Claire’s a big fan of the decadent fashions (which include actual fans, by the way), while Jamie could take it or leave any of it, and Murtagh wants to cut off the you-know-whats of anyone and everyone who scoffs at his kilts and swordplay. As though we could possibly forget, we’re reminded once again of the fact that Jamie, an actual rape victim, is still suffering from...

Miley Cyrus can't win 'em all ... she took an L in a family feud at Madison Square Garden, 'cause she was stupid brave enough to back the Knicks. Miley and older sis Brandi Cyrus sat courtside for the Knicks-Cavs game ... getting some extreme closeups of LeBron James. Despite the Knicks sucking hard this year (they lost by 14 last night) Miley rocked a Kristaps Porzingis' #6 t-shirt. Brandi knew best this time, since she sported a King James jersey.

Humans produce somewhere in the region of 2.5 Quintillion bytes of data per day (that’s enough to fill 10 million blu-ray discs), and one of the major challenges we face is figuring out just what to do with it all.
Researchers at the University of Southampton think they might have found a way and have proved, once again, that we’re truly living in the sci-fi future we all imagined as young whippersnappers.
What Is It?
The five-dimensional (5D) digital data disk is capable of storing 360 terabytes (around 14,400 blu-ray discs). What’s more, it will store it for 13.8 billion years which, by the way, is the age of the universe.
To create the discs, a technique called “femtosecond laser writing” is used. This uses a high speed laser to write data in three layers of nanostructured dots just five micrometres apart.
The five dimensional aspect comes from the...

Updated to take Rogue One into account: why does the Empire have such an obsession with Death Stars?
This article contains spoilers for A New Hope, Return Of The Jedi and The Force Awakens.
In 1977's Star Wars (akaA New Hope), the Empire have finished building their ultimate weapon, the Death Star. It's a very important part of the Star Wars universe, chiefly because without it the name 'Star Wars' doesn't make as much sense. Back in 1997, the new World order were a happy bunch, taking over WCW, winning all the titles and generally making all the babyfaces’ lives a misery.
But after the fallout from Starrcade 1997 and last week’s Nitro Wtf Moments from the January 5th, 1998 episode where Savage inadvertently knocked out Bischoff, causing Savage to slap Hogan for questioning him which led to Nash laying out the Macho Man, this was going to be an interesting episode to view and dissect.
On the January 12th, 1998 edition of Monday Nitro we see the new World order try to become a united front again in the battle for WCW. On the debut edition of Thunder, Jj Dillon stripped Sting of the WCW World Title and the belt is vacant until the big grudge match with Sting and Hollywood Hogan to determine the Undisputed WCW Champion. That match will take place at Superbrawl in about six weeks.
