Robert Tisch was born on April 29, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He was married to Joan Tisch. He died on November 15, 2005 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.
He was Postmaster General, half-owner of the New York Giants football
team and leader of many of the city's top business groups.
Many credit him with coining the term "power breakfast. He was always
encouraging the rich and powerful to stop by for breakfast at his home
in the Regency Hotel on Park Avenue in New York City.
His wife recalled his selling key chains for a dime or two for 15 cents
in front of the university's football stadium in the 1940's. With wise
investments throughout his life his estimated worth at time of death in
November 2005 was around three billion dollars.
Inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.
