“Moon Knight” has taken off with critics and superhero fans around the globe, raking in enormous numbers for Disney+ and Marvel Studios. As a result, the two studios are gearing up for a hardy Emmys campaign with the show in the limited series categories, especially following the success of “WandaVision,” which co-led the tally for all series with 23 nominations (winning three) last year. However, a tweet shared from Marvel Studios’ official Twitter account could throw a potential wrench in their campaign.
Created by Jeremy Slater, the entire promotional tour for “Moon Knight” had the two major studios referring to the show as a “limited series,” with the presumption this would be a standalone television outing for the Marvel Comics character. However, on Monday, Marvel’s official Twitter page shared the trailer for today’s final episode, referring to it as “the epic series finale,” but the tweet was taken down...

Amanda Seyfried is out for blood in the first trailer for Hulu’s The Dropout.
And that’s to be expected: She plays Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, whose health-technology company was infamously exposed to be a scam. None of the company’s tech actually worked, and its claims of having developed revolutionary rapid blood tests, which allegedly required very small amounts of blood, were proven to be false.

Julia Garner’s Anna Delvey isn’t the only unique accent making its debut in a fictionalized adaptation of real-world con-artistry, as Hulu has unveiled a first look at Amanda Seyfried as Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes in the upcoming limited series “The Dropout.”
The show, from executive producer and showrunner Elizabeth Meriwether (“New Girl”), tells the story of Holmes and Theranos, crafting an “unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly wrong.” The official synopsis asks, “How did the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire lose it all in the blink of an eye?”
Kate McKinnon was originally attached to star as Holmes, but ultimately bowed out. This is the first of a number of projects in the works about the Theranos founder, including a feature film starring Jennifer Lawrence to be directed by Adam McKay.

We’re getting the first look at Amanda Seyfried as Elizabeth Holmes in Hulu limited series The Dropout, based on ABC News/ABC Radio’s podcast about the rise and fall of Holmes and her company, Theranos. Hulu has released four first-look photos (see below) of Seyfried as Holmes in the series, which will premiere on March 3.
Seyfried’s Holmes, the enigmatic Stanford dropout who founded medical testing start-up Theranos, was lauded as a Steve Jobs for the next tech generation. Once worth billions of dollars, the myth crumbled when it was revealed that none of the tech actually worked, putting thousands of people’s health in grave danger. The story of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos is an unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly wrong. How did the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire lose it all in the blink of an eye?
Naveen Andrews also stars as Sunny Balwani.

Kate McKinnon will star as Elizabeth Holmes in a new series on Hulu called The Dropout, based on ABC's podcast of the same name. The Emmy-winning actress is known for the hilarity she brings to Saturday Night Live and comedies, so I personally can't wait to see her take on this more serious role. Deadline first broke the news and confirmed that McKinnon will executive produce the limited series along with Rebecca Jarvis, the journalist who hosted the popular podcast that catapulted Holmes's story into the spotlight. Hulu announced that ABC's Taylor Dunn and Victoria Thompson are also executive producers on the show.

Hulu has given out series orders to the dramas “Nine Perfect Strangers” starring Nicole Kidman and “The Dropout,” with Kate McKinnon attached to play Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes.
“Nine Perfect Strangers” is based on the book of the same name by “Pretty Little Lies” author Liane Moriarty. The series takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this ten-day retreat is the resort’s director Masha (Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine “perfect” strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.
The series reunites a large chunk of the team behind the HBO adaptation of “Big Little Lies.” Kidman will executive produce in addition to starring, with “Big Little Lies” executive producer Bruna Papandrea...
