Erica Durance Saving Hope at NBC?
We haven’t heard much news from actress Erica Durance since Smallville ended it’s long run on the CW. That was until the end of last month, at least, when Boomtron unveiled a gorgeous look at the actress in a dramatic role as a woman who believes she’s a super hero. Check out the story of Durance as Wonder Woman if you missed out. This week brings more casting news for the bright young actress. Is a shiny scalpel in her future?
There is a Canadian medical drama in the works called Saving Hope that NBC hopes to acquire very soon. It was inspired by several 2005 articles written by Globe and Mail writer Ian Brown after he had to endure eight weeks at Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital. Exclusive: NBC is in negotiations to acquire upcoming Canadian medical drama series Saving Hope starring Erica Durance, Michael Shanks and Daniel Gillies for a summer run. Co-created and written by Malcolm MacRury and Morwyn Brebner, Saving Hope was inspired by a series of 2005 articles by Globe and Mail writer Ian Brown who spent eight weeks in Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital. It is described as a sexy, fast-paced drama set in a fictional Toronto hospital that follows the lives of the doctors and staff and the complicated decisions they make trying to save lives. Saving Hope, produced and distributed by Entertainment One, stars Michael Shanks (Stargate Sg-1) as Dr. Harris, chief surgeon who lies in a coma and wanders the wards in spirit form, Erica Durance (Smallville) as his fiancee and fellow surgeon, and Daniel Gillies (The Vampire Diaries) is a hot new surgeon. The premise is somewhat reminiscent of...

A policeman, Hatch ( Todd Mann) cuts himself and his skin falls off, only his blood and entrails are left behind. Ooh Dean (Jensen Ackles) get a shirt! Dean is dreaming, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is exercising and Dean's on the road. So we see him naked too! Sam's been with a pro, (Julia Voth) which he wouldn't really do if he was the 'old' Sam. He pays her and where was Dean's tattoo as Sam still has his? Sam throws her card away - well he can hook up with anyone and he does that as routine now. Sam is in Pennsylvania and Dean tells him it's been one and a half days, since they were just on a case, Sam likes to work. Dean: "Who died and made you boss?" That's a loaded question for this show considering the number of deaths of lead characters and others. So don't answer that Sam.
