Luca Arcangeli (born in Rome in 1998) is a director and screenwriter. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Music and Performing Arts from Roma Tre University, specializing in Cinema, Television and New Media. Selected twice by the PÖFF SHORTS (©OSCAR Academy Award Qualifying, ©European Film Award Qualifying, ©Bafta Film Award Qualifying) of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (accredited by FIAPF in "Category A" which includes a total of 15 festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice, San Sebastian) with his first short film "The father, the child and the mother" (2019), purchased by the British television channel ShortsTv and with the second short film "Instructions for how to make a mannequin" (2020). Both the short films had the executive production of Nastro D'Argento director and screenwriter Nicola Ragone. His third short film: "The Ordinary Life of a Man Who Wanted to Become an Albatross" (2021) was awarded Best Short Film at the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) by CSC professor Marianna Cappi and director, screenwriter and editor Cecilia Pagliarani. In 2022 he made "Blue", his fourth short film, with the collaboration of John Landis, who highly praised the film. He participated as a juror at the David Di Donatello, Venice Film Festival, San Sebastian International Film Festival and Rome Festival for Alice in the City.
He writes for the Taxi Drivers magazine and he is member of the EFA (European Film Academy) and FEDEORA (Federation of Film Critics of Europe and the Mediterranean).
