Visual effects and animation outfit Luma Pictures has named Lindsay Burnett to the newly created post of director of business development.
Burnett, formerly executive producer for feature films at Riot, will focus on Luma's feature film business and also will oversee the company's marketing efforts.
Luma has created visual effects for such films as "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince," "City of Ember" and "No Country for Old Men." Its current projects include "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and the upcoming Coen brothers film "A Serious Man."
Burnett's appointment marks her return to Luma Pictures since, before her stint at Riot, she was a producer with the company.
"Lindsay thoroughly understands the business of feature film visual effects and enjoys great respect among our studio clients," Luma president Payam Shohadai said.
