Started his career as an actor before he moved into writing and
producing. Appeared on Broadway in the plays "Mid-Summer" (1953) and
"Madam, Will You Walk" (1953/54) before moving to the west coast.
Occasionally returned to acting on stage with his wife,
Kim Hunter.
