Simon L'Espérance embodies the perfect example of an indefatigable musician, composer, and producer. His insatiable thirst for music transcends all stylistic boundaries. With a career spanning over 25 years, Simon has navigated with astonishing fluidity across genres, from rock to jazz, and from pop to world music. Trained as a guitarist and composer, his career has been in constant evolution since its grunge roots.
His expertise as a recording and mixing engineer is highly sought after, leaving an indelible mark on numerous albums, recording sessions, and soundtracks, collaborating with both local and international artists. For over 12 years, he served as a sound engineer at the legendary Studio Victor before establishing an outstanding reputation as a mixer and album producer in Montreal.
On the academic front, Simon has enriched his skills with a bachelor's degree in popular music from the UQAM, a certificate in music production, and a master's degree in orchestration for cinema and television from the prestigious Berklee School of Music.
As a seasoned educator, he shares his passion by teaching music technology and film music composition at the Université of Québec in Montreal and Cégep of Drummondville.
