- Tane is the middle child of his family, having three sisters, two older and one younger and one younger brother.
- Tane started acting at the age of 6, doing community theatre projects in his area.
- In his first year of high school, he won the entertainer of the year award - he played Arthur Kipps in the schools musical "Half a Sixpence".
- Tane now tutors a drama class at the same community centre that he started at when he was a child.
- Is related to Rawiri Paratene who plays "Joe Hudson" on Shortland street.
- He's also played Fagin from "Oliver" - Scarecrow from "The Wizard of Oz" - Joseph from "Joseph and the amazing technicoloured dream coat" and Aladdin from "Aladdin".
- Tane also loves to write plays and screenplays and has had many of his own works performed at the drama school he attends.
- Taking a break from acting, while he works full time out in the South Auckland area. But we still haven't heard the last from him because at the moment, while he is taking a break from acting, he is also currently in the process of developing and writing a television drama - based on Maori myths and legends...
