Marc is an accomplished leader in the technology, media, direct-to-consumer, and streaming industries with a track record of leading, growing, and transforming global businesses. Marc is the CEO and a Board Director of Brightcove Inc. (Nasdaq: BCOV), the most trusted streaming technology company in the world.
Through 2020, Marc was the Chief Digital Officer of ViacomCBS (now Paramount Global; Nasdaq: PARA), leading a diverse set of teams spanning thousands of employees responsible for the company's unified streaming, digital and technology businesses and operations globally and CEO & President of CBS Interactive, responsible for the rapidly growing, multi-billion-dollar revenue digital and streaming businesses of the company. During his leadership tenure, ViacomCBS became a major player in direct-to-consumer streaming with 30 million subscribers and a top 10 U.S. Internet company with over 200 million monthly users. Over nearly 10 years at CBS and ViacomCBS, Marc helped lead the company through the mobile, social and streaming revolutions. He was the architect of the company's direct-to-consumer streaming strategy with the founding of CBS All Access (now Paramount+; a broad SVOD and live streaming service), CBSN (a 24/7 global streaming news service), CBS Sports HQ (a 24/7 sports news network) and ET Live (a 24/7 entertainment news channel). Over his tenure, he and his teams grew revenue profitably to multiple billions from a few hundred million and transformed the businesses of CBS Interactive from predominately desktop and ad-revenue driven to a balanced advertising and recurring-revenue subscription business delivered primarily across connected TV/OTT and mobile. He also led a strong employee culture including major initiatives around education, engagement, advancement, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Earlier in his career he held various executive roles at Starz and NBC Universal. Marc started his career in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Investment Banking Groups at JPMorgan and Hambrecht & Quist.
Marc is on the Advisory Board of Antenna Group, a privately-owned international media and entertainment company, and Board member of The Door, a non-profit organization providing youth development services to over 10,000 at-risk youth across NYC.
