Chyler Leigh is known for her role on the medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy and for Hallmark’s The Way Home. However, she has also starred in Supergirl, which rapped in 2021. In the series, Leigh played Alex Danvers, the sister to Melissa Benoist’s Kara Danvers.
Meanwhile, the pair still have a close bond and have both previously spoken of their friendship. Now, Chyler has revealed that she would love to reunite with Melissa on her newest series, The Way Home. She even has a great idea about how her Supergirl sister could join the popular time travel show, which has been renewed for season 3.

Supergirl’s Danvers siblings have moved on to new TV gigs, but that’s not stopping fans — and Chyler Leigh — from wishing for a sisterly reunion.
Leigh and Melissa Benoist, of course, played Alex Danvers and Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) on the aforementioned CW drama, which concluded its run in 2021. The actresses also formed a strong friendship while filming the show, with Leigh once describing Benoist as “my inspiration, my friend, my #soulsister” on Instagram.

A mother and daughter discover they have the ability to travel back in time in Hallmark Channel’s The Way Home. Kat (Chyler Leigh) and Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) hope that their visits to the past will help mend their broken family. But healing decades-old wounds isn’t easy, they discover.
In the season 1 finale, Kat finally got some answers about what happened to her long-missing brother. But her discovery raised just as many questions as it answered. Fortunately, we won’t be left wondering what’s next for the Landry family, since Hallmark has renewed the show for a second season. Until those episodes arrive, here are five binge-worthy shows to watch while you wait for The Way Home Season 2.

If you were concerned that Hallmark might be moving away from the series business after recent cancellations, The Way Home Season 1 Episode 1 should have allayed those fears.
In one fell swoop, it expands and elevates the magic of Good Witch and the sense of family from Chesapeake Shores.
What more could we ask from a new series than to incorporate what we have enjoyed from past projects while introducing us to an entirely new world?
The first thing of note is the cast, particularly the women at the heart of the Landry family.
Andie MacDowell is a well-respected actor known for a barrage of successful films, who previously starred in an early Hallmark drama series, Cedar Cove, and stars as matriarch Del Landry.
Chyler Leigh, who stars as Kat Landry, has also worked with Hallmark previously but is best known for her roles as Lexie Grey on Grey's Anatomy and Alex Danvers on Supergirl.

When The Flash arrived on the CW, it was pitched as the anti-Arrow, a feel-good series about the joy of being a superhero. After all, the title character (Grant Gustin) was wearing a crimson and yellow suit; hard to be moody in that.
As with all CW superhero series, it was quickly over-populated with too many powered supporting players, frequently taking the focus off the hero. It also grew too reliant on speedsters, the Speed Force, and time travel, so a sameness was infused throughout each successive season. There was every reason to believe this was to be the final season, so it was plotted as such. They could have done better. Much better.

Exclusive: Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy) is set to star in The Way Home, a new, original primetime series for Hallmark Channel that’s slated to begin production later this month. It stars Andie MacDowell and is set to premiere in 2023.
Leigh plays Kat Landry, who moved away from her small, Canadian farm town of Port Haven many years ago following a family tragedy, and remains estranged from her mother Del (MacDowell) to this day. With her marriage coming to an end and having just been laid off from her job, Kat decides to return home after receiving an unexpected letter from Del urging her to come back. Although her 15-year-old daughter Alice is none-too-thrilled, Kat and her daughter arrive at her family’s farm, though the reunion isn’t what Kat had envisioned. Barbara Gordon has officially found her roommate.
Ivory Aquino has been cast in the HBO Max feature film “Batgirl” as Alysia Yeoh, the best friend of the titular superhero, a.k.a. Barbara Gordon (Leslie Grace).
Both Aquino and Yeoh are transgender, marking the first time a live-action feature film adaptation of a DC Comics title will feature an openly trans character. Yeoh first appeared in a 2011 issue of “Batgirl” written by Gail Simone and penciled by Ardian Syaf.
News of Aquino’s casting first leaked online in mid-January after Grace posted a photo seemingly from the set of the film to her Instagram story, tagging Aquino and captioning the shot (of two women crossing the street) with “Barbara and Alysia...

There may not have been a ton of positives to come from Kara’s absence on “Supergirl” but that doesn’t mean there weren’t any. Because, while Kara was trapped in the Phantom Zone, it brought Alex Danvers and Lena Luthor together on a deeper level. And according to series star Chyler Leigh, that relationship is only going to continue to get stronger.
“I’ve always loved the dynamic between Alex and Lena. I think that, you know, obviously, they share so many common threads. One of theirs is really just how much they care about Kara,” Leigh told TheWrap.
Even with that shared love of Kara though, Alex and Lena have had their struggles over the course of the show. Lest we forget, Alex arguably took the longest to warm up to Lena to begin with, and when Kara and Lena fell out, Alex was quick to jump...

“Supergirl” may be ending this season, but that doesn’t mean we’re losing all the Super Friends right away. Chyler Leigh is set to return as Alex Danvers this November as part of the “Armageddon” crossover event on “The Flash,” and she’s thrilled to have more time to be Sentinel.
We don’t know much about the plot of the special itself, beyond the fact that Team Flash is facing “a powerful alien threat arrives on Earth under mysterious circumstances.” That alien threat is apparently powerful enough to wipe out humanity, causing Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) to call in some reinforcements.
“What I will say is I am very, very, very grateful to be part of it. I was asked if I was interested, and if I wanted to, you know, take part and I was like, ‘Uhhh, hell yeah,'” Leigh told TheWrap.

If the first seven episodes of the final season of “Supergirl” showed us anything, it’s that Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) was always meant to be part of the Super Friends. The good news is she’s here now, and thanks to a classic older sister pep talk from Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh), Lena isn’t going anywhere. And now that Kara’s been rescued, Lena will have her best friend back — with no drama attached, according to the showrunners.
“We’re looking at better days,” showrunner Robert Rovner told TheWrap in April. “Lena apologized to Kara in the season opener, and she goes about the first part of the season making amends for that, and is vital to the team in terms of helping them get Supergirl back. And so once Supergirl’s back, it’s their friendship, and [Lena’s] part of the team.

At least this time her planet isn’t exploding.
Melissa Benoist, aka Supergirl from The CW’s series of the same name, bid farewell today to fans on the occasion of the series wrapping production on its final season. Supergirl Season 6 Episode 4
To vanquish the Phantoms and escape the Phantom Zone, Supergirl motions toward horror with its body-snatching plot in National City and eerie quest over in the Phantom Zone. With the Prime Phantom still terrorizing National City and Kara and her father still trapped, the Super Friends had their hands full while still trying to come to terms with the emotional aspect of losing Kara, mostly by consuming Scotch or doughnuts.
In an early bout with phantoms, a seemingly defeated phantom coming from lying on the ground to standing up in one smooth movement was a particularly cool genre moment for the usually-light Supergirl. The final showdown with the mini-Phantom Zone on Earth has more horror beats, like when Brainy is taken and he claws his way from the shadows – his red eyes a sign he’s been...

It’s been a long road but it’s official: Every one of the Super Friends now knows that Kara Danvers is Supergirl. Last week’s season premiere saw Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) make the decision to tell her girlfriend Kelly (Azie Tesfai) about her sister’s secret, and this week’s episode saw the aftermath of the reveal — but not the reveal itself.
Where just about every other character has had some form of conversation with Kara (Melissa Benoist) about her secret — some long and drawn out, others with a simple whip of her glasses or a jump off a building — the conversation between Alex and Kelly apparently happened off-screen, leaving some fans scratching their heads.
But, according to “Supergirl” showrunners Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner, there is a reason why it wasn’t a big to-do when it came to Kelly. Most of it came down to simply...

(Warning: Major spoilers ahead for the season six premiere of “Supergirl”)
The final season of “Supergirl” is starting off on a rough note for Supergirl herself. The final moments of the premiere saw Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) returned once again to the Phantom Zone, this time at the hands of Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer). And so the question for the beginning of this final season is simple: can the Super Friends get her back?
The odds may not be as dire as they seem. After all, they finally have a full team in their corner. Lena (Katie McGrath) is in on Kara’s secret now and making peace with it, simultaneously making Lena an invaluable, full-time asset to the team. And, based on the final moments of the premiere, Kelly Olsen will soon be in the know as well. Because now it’s official: Kelly is the last to know that Kara Danvers is Supergirl.

Chris Evans might be seen as a great dramatic actor these days, after a decade of playing Captain America in the McU, but before he landed the part of the Sentinel of Liberty, his most notable roles tended to be in comedies. Even his turn as the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four films is pretty light-hearted. If you’re a fan looking to familiarize yourself with Evans’ earlier work though, then Netflix is on hand to help you out, as a forgotten pic from his past has just been dropped onto the site.
This Tuesday, September 1st, the streaming service added 2001’s Not Another Teen Movie. Released when he was just 20 years old, the comedy flick featured Evans’ first leading role. Funnily enough, his co-star and love interest in the film, Chyler Leigh, would also go on to achieve fame in the superhero world as Alex Danvers in TV’s Supergirl.

Oliver Queen’s not yet cold in his grave, but one of the stars of The Flash is already suggesting their show should take over as the flagship of the franchise and that the Arrowverse should be renamed after it.
In a new video from TV Guide which features numerous Arrowverse stars speaking about the end of Arrow, Danielle Panabaker – who plays Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost on The CW series – suggested that the franchise needs a new name now that the Emerald Archer’s dead and his show is concluding.
“If it’s been called the Arrowverse, what’s it going to be called now?” Panabaker asked. “The Flashverse, now that Arrow’s gone?”
Obviously, Panabaker is joking when she says this, but there genuinely has been a big discussion amongst fans about whether the point she raises is actually a good one. However, it’s mostly been agreed that...
