Celebrity Big Brother contestant Louis Walsh has ignited a ramped-up war of words with X Factor breakouts Jedward, with the identical twin singers accusing Walsh of forcing them to give one of his PR workers £70,000.
On last night’s Celebrity Big Brother, Walsh branded the singers – who featured on The X Factor during his time as judge and who he used to manage – “vile,” before saying he “got £5 million from them.”
Jedward responded almost immediately via X with a string of weighty accusations including that Walsh had “forced us into an office to pay £70k+ to [sic] from our bank account to one of his own PR workers.”
In a number of tweets last night after the show, Jedward – real names John and Edward Grimes – also accused Walsh of “trying to make us sign our name and life away in dodgy contracts to people he was great friends with.”

Osbourne was a “lodger” and wasn’t an official housemate, having agreed to appear in the reality competition for only one week. The former The Talk co-host was not evicted from the house and didn’t face the public vote.
“It’s been a great party. I have loved it,” Osbourne said after Big Brother announced her time had ended.

“He’s beautiful inside and outside,” Osbourne said about the Strictly Come Dancing dancer.
Osbourne also mentioned Levi Roots because “he’s just a genuinely good guy.”

Sharon Osbourne has demanded to stay in separate living quarters from other Celebrity Big Brother housemates, a command her bosses granted to keep her on the show.
Osbourne, 71, entered the house on Monday night with Louis Walsh. The two television personalities were kept in a secret lair and were able to critique their co-stars from afar.
A source close to the show told the Daily Mail that Osbourne will be staying in her own suite.
“Sharon is Celebrity Big Brother‘s star signing so producers were prepared to make her living situation more comfortable, especially given her age,” the source said.
“Viewers will see Sharon in her own room complete with an ensuite during Tuesday night’s episode but she will still be interacting with the other housemates and be a part of the main action in the house.”

TV star Sharon Osbourne would never judge a small screen talent show again because she doesn’t like how young contestants are treated. She also spoke about her co-judge Simon Cowell and said that he’s “never been a friend” of hers. The 71-year-old star was a judge on ‘The X Factor’ from 2004 to 2007, before returning in 2013, and again from 2016 to 2017, and also sat on the ‘America’s Got Talent’ panel between 2007 to 2012.
She told Best magazine: “I’d never do a talent show again. I’ve come to realise that the way they’re run isn’t right. Take kids. It’s not fair to put them through that schedule, that hard work.
“That’s particularly true of reality-based shows.

Simon Cowell has said that The X Factor will “more likely than not” return to screens in 2024.
The record executive, best known for judging The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, said he is often asked when the talent contest will return and will only bring it back if he could “go back to where the show started”.
The X Factor first aired in 2004 and catapulted artists such as One Direction, Little Mix and Leona Lewis to stardom, before concluding in 2018.
In an interview with The Sun, Cowell said: “The funny thing is that when young people approach me on the street, all they want to know is when X Factor is coming back.
“They all watch it on YouTube. When we stopped the show, I genuinely thought there was no need for it — that everyone would be signed from YouTube.”

The year had barely started when the tabloids came for Rylan. Back in January, a video of the presenter on a night out in Soho, filmed by an anonymous person, was posted online. In the clip, the unknown figure is seen laughing with Rylan who, with a megawatt grin on his face, declares with gleeful abandon: “Give me the gear!” As far as the tabloids were concerned, they’d got the goods. “Rylan Clark caught demanding drugs,” one headline read. Another called him “troubled”. But what they failed to understand was that the TV star was – shock horror! – making a joke.

Globalisation isn’t just about lax child labour laws lowering the price of t-shirts; it also has its downsides. Global markets have a tendency to replace local idiosyncrasy with the accessibly bland. Should, for instance, the makers of Sweden’s chocolate Plopp Bar ever branch out into English-speaking territories, they’d be forced to rename their product to something much less funny, and we’d all be the worse off for it.

A 2014 clip showing former X Factor judge Louis Walsh grabbing Mel B's butt has sparked outrage after resurfacing on social media. The clip, posted to YouTube in Dec. 2014, resurfaced on Twitter and online over the weekend, showing Louis, Mel B, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole being interviewed by Sarah-Jane Crawford on The Xtra Factor. During the interview, Louis placed his hand on Mel B's backside and went on to grab her butt as they sat next to each other. Mel B, clearly uncomfortable, then stopped the interview, telling Sarah-Jane to "hold on a second." Mel B then asked Louis, "Why are you grabbing my butt?" Louis replied that he was looking after Mel B and host Sarah-Jane then...

She’s pregnant with their first child, but when British singer Cheryl first met future boyfriend Liam Payne, romance was nowhere on their radar.
The year was 2008, and Payne was just 14 years old at the time — auditioning in front of Cheryl, Simon Cowell and Irish entertainment manager Louis Walsh for the U.K. version of The X-Factor.
He would be cut a few rounds later, but Payne told judges he was “here to win” during his first audition. He then launched into a smooth cover of Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” — even winking at Cheryl during his performance.

Nicole Scherzinger can belt it like Britney! The former Pussycat Doll and The X Factor judge is giving some celebrity impersonations in a promotional video for the 13th season of hit U.K. show. Seated in between Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh, the 38-year-old singer first started with an impression of Cowell, who was impressed with her impressions. "You do actually do very good impersonations," Cowell said in the video. Then, Scherzinger channeled Spears' iconic voice, singing, "Oops, I Did It Again," prompting Walsh to laugh hysterically. Spears was a host on the U.S. version of the show in 2012, but quit after one season.

Nicole Scherzinger has pulled out the Broadway run of 'Cats'to return to U.K. X-Factor, according to Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The former Pussycat Doll starred as Grizabella in the 2014 London revival of Lloyd Webber's classic musical, and she was set to reprise the role when the show returned to Broadway for previews beginning on July 14.
While rumours have been swirling that Nicole is set to return to The X Factor, on which she worked as a judge in 2012 and 2013, the famed composer/theatre producer has more or less confirmed the news by saying that he felt foolish when he learnt the singer was no longer going to be partaking in Cats.
"A week before we were going to go into rehearsal with Cats on Broadway, which luckily I'm not producing, she calls me and says she's decided she wants to do X Factor, having agreed everything," he told The Economist Radio.

Fanboy gabble, washed out archive material and counterintuitive direction choices shrink, rather than amplify, the legend of Sinatra
After Alex Gibney’s rigorous four-hour Sinatra study All or Nothing at All, erstwhile Wham! boss Simon Napier-Bell’s plucky Brit equivalent appears patchy indeed, cobbling together washed-out, publicly sourced archive footage with variable-quality talking heads. Though erudite voices (Gambaccini, Ellen, Paphides) contextualise, breathless fanboy gabble steers us around the boozing and boorishness (“When he sang, nobody cared,” smiles Louis Walsh), and there are counterintuitive choices: even clips from the widescreen From Here to Eternity are framed in a ratio that shrinks rather than amplifies this legend. Completists may be happy enough, but it looks rushed and – such as when labelling Sinatra’s 1949 musical as Own the Town – perilously sloppy.
