After the Grammys earlier this month, comedian Rebecca Corry got hit with a flood of press requests, and not for any part she’d played in the proceedings. Everyone wanted to know what she thought of Louis C.K. somewhat shockingly being awarded the Grammy for best comedy album, when it was assumed by many who don’t pay much attention to the comedy community that he remained in some kind of industry exile after being accused of, and admitting to, serial sexual misconduct. Corry, who had been among multiple women in the entertainment business to speak up in a 2017 New York Times investigative story about being harassed by C.K., made it clear on Twitter that she was not up for talking about it: “Dear media, I’m happy to speak with you about my 30 years in comedy, my national life-saving nonprofit, [or] what I’m working on now and will further accomplish.

Comedian Louis C.K., whose career derailed after he was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women in 2017, is making a return to stand-up comedy in a nationwide tour beginning next week, he announced on his website.
Revealed on Wednesday, C.K. has shows in 30 cities, including New York, Chicago, Detroit, San Diego, Philadelphia, Boston and more. His first stand-up show is set for the Hulu Theatre at Madison Square Garden on August 13, with a follow-up show the next night. The tour ends at the Orpheum Theater in Boston on December 11.
In 2017, C.K. was accused by multiple women of masturbating in front of them during the onset of the #MeToo era. In a report by the New York Times, comedians Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov alleged that C.K. invited them to his hotel room during the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colo., in 2002 and stripped naked and began to masturbate.

Following Sarah Silverman’s admission that Louis C.K. used to masturbate in front of her with her consent, Rebecca Corry — who, along with several other women, has accused C.K. of doing so against her will — has responded with a tweet calling the comedian “a predator who victimized women for decades and lied about it.”

Sarah Silverman says Louis C.K. used to ask permission to masturbate in front of her when they were young comics in New York, behavior similar to the sexual harassment that nearly derailed his career last year.
During an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show” on Monday, Silverman was asked about her relationship to C.K., whom she describes as a “brother,” in the months since he was accused of abusing his position in the comedy community to harass women comics.
“It’s all very black and white until it comes to your front door and the bad guy is someone you love,” Silverman said, adding that she hasn’t spoken to C.K. in about three months.

Comedian and writer Rebecca Corry, one of Louis C.K.’s sexual misconduct accusers, has come forward to talk about the backlash she has faced since speaking up.
“Since speaking out, I’ve experienced vicious and swift backlash from women and men, in and out of the comedy community,” Corry wrote for Vulture. “I’ve received death threats, been berated, judged, ridiculed, dismissed, shamed, and attacked .”
Corry also explained that many people have said to her that C.K. apologized for his actions, which Corry said is far from the truth.
“But he didn’t,” she wrote. “Admitting what you did, and justifying it with ‘I always asked first,’ is not the same as apologizing.”
While facing the backlash, Corry also said that it’s been “heartbreaking” to see people she “liked and respect lie and defend” C.

Louis C.K. has been accused of sexual misconduct by five women in a new report published by The New York Times. The women include Chicago comedy duo Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov, Abby Schachner, Rebecca Corry, and an anonymous woman. Goodman and Julia Wolov told The Times they met C.K. during a performance at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, during which C.K. invited them to hang out at his hotel room. It was here where the women say C.K. asked if he could take out his penis.
“He proceeded to take all of his clothes off, and get completely naked, and started masturbating,” Goodman said.
Corry was working as a producer on a 2005 television pilot in which C.K was appearing as a guest star. She says the comedian approached her and asked if he could masturbate in front of her.

It appears NBC wasn't exactly pleased with the ratings for their new sitcom One Big Happy and now they've cancelled it.
On the One Big Happy sitcom, a pair of childhood best friends -- he's straight (Nick Zano) and she's a lesbian (Elisha Cuthbert) -- are still single as adults and decide to have a baby together. But then, he meets and marries the love of his life (Kelly Brook) and a different kind of family is born. The rest of the cast includes Rebecca Corry, Chris Williams, and Brandon Mychal Smith.

NBC decided to hold One Big Happy until late in the TV season. That's typically a sign that the network has very little confidence in a series. How has this sitcom been doing? Is it a surprise ratings success? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

One Big Happy, NBC‘s latest sit-com effort, is set to have a great premiere just off the back of promotion by executive producer Ellen Degeneres. The real question is whether or not people are going to come back, and if it can expand its market beyond the viewers who are dedicated Ellen fans.
One of the best indicators of its success (or lack thereof) may be its lead-in, Undateable. The shows are well-paired, with not only much in common, but a similar comedic style. They are also shows that aren’t exactly the kind of efforts that will shoot out of the gates. They need to grow on you a bit before you come around to appreciating what a blast they are. That’s a tough road in today’s world, as Undateable fans can attest, since it wasn’t a sure thing it would be returning for a while.

Just keeping busy before its big schedule announcement on Sunday, NBC picked up a trio of comedies on Friday afternoon, including two from executive producer Will Ferrell. The "Anchorman" star and "Anchorman" director Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions is behind "Bad Judge" and "Mission Control," which will be joined by "One Big Happy" on NBC's slate for next season. Sadly, Ferrell has nothing to do with "One Big Happy," but with Ellen DeGeneres executive producing, it doesn't lack for behind-the-scenes starpower. Let's look at the three new NBC comedies and let's try not to resent that they were ordered while "Community" was cancelled... In addition to DeGeneres, "One Big Happy" is executive produced by creator Liz Feldman and pilot director Scott Ellis. The comedy focuses on best friends Lizzy (Elisha Cuthbert) and Luke (Nick Zano). She's a Type-a lesbian! He's a laid-back straight guy! They've decided that they want to have a family together,...

Update: NBC has ordered a pair of Gary Sanchez Productions comedy pilots — the Kate Walsh-starring Bad Judge and the Krysten Ritter-starrer Mission Control – and with a third series order is back in the multi-camera game adding One Big Happy for midseason. I hear Mission Control and One Big Happy orders were for six episodes eyed for midseason. I also hear this will wrap the network’s pickups for the day. Related: NBC Pilots: What Is Still Alive? NBC has been high on the gay-straight relationship sitcom One Big Happy produced by Ellen DeGeneres and starring Elisha Cuthbert and Nick Zano, though there had been questions whether the single-camera-heavy NBC would be open to dabble back into multi-camera sitcoms. (Besides One Big Happy, NBC brass also liked the Jerrod Carmichael multi-camera presentation, though it has not been picked up) Written by Liz Feldman, One Big Happy from Warner Bros...

The kind of person who finds a pit bull kissing booth appealing -- and, for the record, we at HuffPost DC are those kinds of people -- should get ready for an event coming about a year from now that's going to knock your socks off.
Rebecca Corry, comic and pit bull lover, was at the Arlington Draft House last weekend performing her "Stand Up For Pits" comedy show/animal rescue fundraiser.
Before the show, Corry spent time exploring D.C. In front of the White House, she took this photo of her dog, Angel, who, at shows, is the animal trading dollars for smooches:
Corry says when she saw how excited people became seeing this photo being taken, it got her thinking that when she came back to D.C. in May, 2014 to perform "Stand Up For Pits" here for the second time -- the show's also been performed in Los Angeles and Seattle,...
