Primo, the coming-of-age comedy inspired by the life of author/journalist/former teacher Shea Serrano, has been cancelled at Freevee after just one eight-episode season.
Serrano — who created the series and served as an executive producer alongside Michael Schur, David Miner, Morgan Sackett, Peter Murrieta and Lisa Muse Bryant — shared the sad news on social media, almost exactly one year after the show’s May 2023 binge release.

New Delhi, Aug 15 (Ians) On the occasion of 77th Independence Day, actors Gurmeet Choudhary, Mithila Palkar, Saiee Manjrekar, Gaurav Chopra and Abhimanyu Singh have opened up about their childhood memories of the auspicious day, and what importance it hold in their lives.
Gurmeet is best known for his portrayal of Rama in ‘Ramayana’, Maan Singh Khurana in ‘Geet- Hui Sabse Parayi’, and Yash Suraj Pratap Sindhina in ‘Punar Vivaah- Zindagi Milegi Dobara’. He was also seen in J P Dutta’s action war film ‘Paltan’.

Ahead of the 76th Independence Day, actress Ashi Singh, who is seen as the lead in the fictional drama ‘Meet’, said Independence for her is about being able to make decisions based on personal values and opinions. Talking about the Independence Day, Ashi said: “Independence for me is about being able to make decisions based on my personal values and opinions that are very important to me. I am proud to be an Indian, and I salute all those who have fought for our freedom.
“As a nation, we have progressed, but we need to work as individuals toward taking a stand for things that are important for the betterment of our country. As a responsible citizen, we must dutifully exercise all our rights and work towards the well-being and progression of our country,” she added.
‘Meet’ is produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions.

Netflix has added 11 actors to the cast of the limited series “American Primeval,” Variety has learned.
The six-episode series was originally commissioned in December with Taylor Kitsch in the lead role. He will now be joined by: Jai Courtney, Kyle Bradley Davis, Dane DeHaan, Betty Gilpin, Nick Hargrove, Derek Hinkey, Saura Lightfoot Leon, Preston Mota, Shawnee Pourier, Joe Tippett, and Shea Whigham. The role marks a return to Netflix for Gilpin, who earned three consecutive Emmy nominations for the comedy series “Glow” at the streamer before it was unceremoniously canceled amid the pandemic.
