Pineapple Dance Studios: Where careers are made, dreams are broken, bitching is an Olympic sport and everyone is fabulous.
The biggest West End shows, the most famous pop acts, the highest level auditionees, and some of the world’s most successful dance teachers all pass through Covent Garden’s Pineapple Dance Studios on a daily basis. In February 2010, Sky1 HD will give viewers exclusive access to the world famous dance space – the largest in Europe – and will capture every move, every performance and all the drama. Arlene Phillips has told friends that she is heartbroken after being axed from Strictly Come Dancing, according to a report. The BBC announced earlier this month that it had dropped the professional choreographer after six series. She will be replaced by 30-year-old popstar Alesha Dixon on the judging panel when the show returns in the autumn. According to The Mirror, Phillips has now emailed a friend to reveal: "I'm really sad." Ex-dancer Debbie Moore, who has been friends with the star for 30 years, told the newspaper: "She's devastated.
