The White Lotus season three is being filmed in Thailand, and fans are anxious to know if any past stars will be making surprise appearances in the upcoming episodes.

Now, Theo James, who starred as Cameron Sullivan opposite Meghann Fahy‘s Daphne Sullivan in season two, is responding to a rumor.
Back in January, Meghann teased to Deadline, “[Mike White] did once say that he’d like to do an episode with Theo, me and the couple from the first season, [Alexandra Daddario and Jake Lacy] — the four of us on a boat. Just one episode of that.

HBO in November 2022 announced a third season for The White Lotus, which will bring a new installment of the Mike White-created anthology series to screens.
The first installment, which premiered July 2021 and was set in Hawaii, was nominated for 20 Emmy Awards and won a leading 10, including for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Season 2, set in Sicily, debuted October 30, 2022 and won five Emmys, including a repeat for Jennifer Coolidge.
When will The White Lotus Season 3 premiere?
Originally eyed to premiere in 2024, HBO boss Casey Bloys has said Season 3 will likely arrive in 2025, delayed be the Writers Guild and SAG-AFTRA strikes that shut down production through the heart of 2023. Season 3 of The White Lotus, to be set in Thailand after setting the action in Hawaii for Season 1 and Sicily for Season 2, is now slated to begin filming in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok in February 2024.

This article contains spoilers for the first two seasons of The White Lotus.
There may not be a detective on the guest list at The White Lotus, but the dark dramedy could certainly use one.
After all, both seasons of the HBO anthology series start with glimpses of dead bodies and spend subsequent episodes tracking the story of how those individuals ended up in such an … unfortunate state. Hulu‘s Death and Other Details is a bit more up front with its detective work and murder plot, but the series’ witty humor and vibrant scenery gives definite The White Lotus vibes and makes a great stand-in while fans wait for The White Lotus season 3 to drop in 2025. After all, what’s more entertaining than watching wealthy, love-to-hate characters suffer a bit of misfortune on their opulent vacations?

Meghann Fahy‘s character is not set to return for a third season of The White Lotus. However, that doesn’t mean that we’ve seen the last of her.
If you forgot, the actress brought Daphne Sullivan to life in the show’s second season. Her storyline was woven in with Theo James (her onscreen husband Cameron Sullivan), Will Sharpe (Cameron’s old friend Ethan Spiller) and Aubrey Plaza.
During a recent interview, she revealed that The White Lotus creator Mike White has clued her in to a possible comeback of Daphne in a future episode.
The proposed plot would feature three other returning characters, and Meghann described it as “kind of psychotic.”
Who would be involved and what would go do? She gave us all of those details and revealed what she thinks happened to Daphne and Cameron after the cameras stopped rolling on their marriage.

So what actually happened to Meghann Fahy’s Daphne Sullivan after a Sicilian summer trip that yielded a dead body in the water?
“She keeps doing what’s she’s doing,” Fahy told Deadline at the Sundance studio about her posh, sexually free, no-rules-abiding wife of Cameron Sullivan (Theo James); a couple who get into the heads of the Spillers, played by Will Sharpe and Aubrey Plaza in season 2 of the HBO multi-Emmy winning show. Fahy is here in Park City, Ut with the Melissa Barrera midnight section movie, Your Monster.
But more to the point, Fahy tells us don’t expect Daphne to get on a plane to Thailand where season 3 is set at another White Lotus property. That cast for the Mike White anthology series includes Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey,...

While fans used to play six degrees of Kevin Bacon at the Sundance Film Festival (or anywhere for that matter), in 2024, it’s all about connecting the dots of alumni from Mike White’s The White Lotus. The stars of the Emmy Award-winning vacation anthology series have returned to the mainland and clocked back in on a flurry of independent films. Below is a roundup of all the White Lotus stars making the Park City rounds this year and why they’re here.

One year after becoming the first program in Emmys history to simultaneously net five nominations in a single female acting category, “The White Lotus” has managed to repeat the impressive feat. The only performer involved in both situations is Jennifer Coolidge, who bested her four first season cast mates in the 2022 Best TV Movie/Limited Series Supporting Actress race and is now heavily favored to do the same in the Best Drama Supporting Actress category. Having already bagged Critics Choice, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Awards for her second season performance, there isn’t much stopping her from once again being called up to the Emmys stage.

Kerry Washington is reflecting on the moments in her life when she has felt like she may be done with Hollywood, only to be drawn back in by an “extraordinary” script.
In a profile for W magazine’s W TV Portfolio 2023, Washington admitted that she has spent her life trying not to be an actor.
“I am always quitting this business, and then right when I decide that I’m done is when something extraordinary comes across my desk,” she told W. “I was really, really done with this business right before I read the script for Ray. I was really, really done with this business right before I read the script for The Last King of Scotland. I was entirely done with this business before reading the script for Scandal. Editor’s note: The following interviews were done outside of the FYC event series, as there was no panel or screening.
When it comes to assembling the quintessential ensemble cast for a series, it’s an art, not a science; an organic melding of faces and emotional forces. No more was this important than in the high stakes second season of HBO’s drama series White Lotus in which we’re pulled into the posh, sexy allure of those upper-class denizens on vacation only to relish in their deceitful sides and hijinks, warts and all. The series not only propelled fresh faces to the forefront such as Natasha Rothwell in season one, whose Hawaiian White Lotus resort spa manager is returning for the Eastern religion and spirituality set season 3, but it’s also shown a fresh, dynamic range of actors we’ve seen previously, i.e. Jennifer Coolidge and Alexandra Daddario among several others.

One of the stand-outs of “The White Lotus” Season 2 is Meghann Fahy, whose character Daphne Sullivan travels to Sicily with her husband Cameron (Theo James) and another couple. As the season progressed, more and more juicy layers got peeled back about her character. “It was a pretty special experience,” Fahy explains about uncovering new details about Daphne. “We got all of the scripts at the same time and I read them all sort of just in one sitting because, I mean, how could you take a break?” Watch our exclusive video interview above.

"The White Lotus"'s critically acclaimed second season, which wrapped up in December 2022, has been picking up award after award throughout the 2023 season, so it's no surprise the cast showed up in number at the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Feb. 26.
Theo James and Meghann Fahy, who played the sexy-yet-complicated couple Cameron and Daphne Sullivan ran into Leo Woodall on the red carpet, and they posed arm-in-arm. (Guess those rumors Fahy and Woodall were dating - that Fahy debunked herself - aren't stopping the friends from stepping out together.)
Also hitting the red carpet was Haley Lu Richardson, who played Portia, Tanya's (Jennifer Coolidge) tortured personal assistant, in season two. In addition, Sabrina Impacciatore walked the red carpet in a stunning hot-pink number that was far more adventurous than we saw from her hotel manager character, Valentina. Jon Gries and F. Murray Abraham also hit the carpet, as did Simona Tabasco and Aubrey Plaza.

“The White Lotus: Sicily” made the move from limited series to drama series at the 2023 SAG Awards, and things paid off splendidly as the HBO show was nominated in two categories: Best Drama Ensemble and Best Drama Actress for Jennifer Coolidge. The Italy-set season aired from October to December and was one of the most buzzed-about TV programs of the year. The sprawling ensemble consists of a whopping 21 cast members — everyone from known names like Coolidge and F. Murray Abraham to relative newcomers like Sabrina Impacciatore and Leo Woodall.

The last day has drummed up a whirlwind of emotions for Meghann Fahy fans. Mere hours after the 32-year-old actor delivered another rousing performance in "The White Lotus" season two finale, she was excluded from the 2023 Golden Globes nominations announced on Dec. 12. Although the HBO show wound up earning four total nods - three for supporting actors Jennifer Coolidge, Aubrey Plaza, and F. Murray Abraham and a fourth for the series as a whole - Fahy's snub especially stings following her final bow as Daphne Sullivan.
In the sophomore season of "The White Lotus," Fahy portrays the Aperol Spritz-swigging, Pda-showing, edible-consuming, "Ted Lasso"-binging wife to finance bro Cameron (Theo James). On the surface, Daphne's a rich, breezy housewife unaffected by worldly woes - so much so that she can't even recall whether she voted in the last election - but strip away those Pucci bikinis and floral sundresses, and she's much more complex.

The White Lotus Season 2 Episode 5
One of the tough things about starting a new show for the first time is having to constantly answer this question: what do these characters stand for? When it comes to The White Lotus, this is an even more arduous quest for knowledge. The anthology style gives us only a select few weeks to live in the skin of these fictional people, and the writers and actors bringing the story to life have to quickly, but purposefully fulfill their roles to create a show worth remembering.
As we begin the final episodes of the season, the lives of the Sicilian beachgoers and hotel-dwellers are starting to mix and mingle way more than at the beginning. Characters start to indirectly impact one another in ways they can’t conceive of, which is the perfect tipping point for what likely...

Both seasons of "The White Lotus" kick off with a bang. A flash-forward reveals a mysterious murder at the end of a week-long vacation at the high-end resort. The first season was set in Hawai'i and focused heavily on themes of colonialism and class divides. The second season, set in Sicily, turns its attention to sex, romance, and "The Godfather."
Tensions are still running high among the guests at The White Lotus in season 2. Two agents of chaos, Lucia and Mia, run amok through the resort, and now, almost halfway through the season, every major relationship has been questioned. Family dynamics across generations are threatening to be ripped at the seams, budding romances are cut off before they can truly take shape, and marriages that once seemed perfect start to reveal their cracks. "It definitely feels like 'White Lotus,' [but] the theme is different," series creator Mike White explained to Deadline.

Gold Derby has learned exclusively that, just like last year, “The White Lotus: Sicily” will submit all of its actors and actresses into the supporting races for awards shows. (See the cast category submissions below.) HBO initially enacted this strategy for the first season of its ratings hit, believing “The White Lotus” to be a true ensemble where there are no official “lead” performances that should get preference. That resulted in Jennifer Coolidge and Murray Bartlett both winning Emmys for Season 1 as Best Limited Series Supporting Actress and Best Limited Series Supporting Actor.

Bert Di Grasso (F. Murray Abraham) has thrown himself into his ideal Sicilian experience since arriving at The White Lotus resort. He's flirted with every Italian local he's set his eyes on, enjoyed the exquisite cuisine, learned more about his family's homeland, trekked his old bones through the historical grounds of the city, and settled in for bed by watching "The Godfather" in his hotel room while his son, Dominic (Michael Imperioli), has a threesome with two Italian sex-workers half his age next door. Between the champagne cork popping, splashing of water from the indoor hot tub, and laughter of women squeezing every penny they can out of Dom, Bert hears Calò's words of wisdom to Michael Corleone become more relevant to his son's life, and thematically, the lives of all of the men in "The White Lotus."

Mike White's "The White Lotus" is back, and for the second year in a row, there's some trouble in paradise on the horizon. This time, it comes in the form of a corpse floating in the ocean on glamorous housewife Daphne's (Meghann Fahy) last day at the resort, plus what sounds like two more bodies somewhere on the hotel premises.
"The White Lotus" cleverly avoids writing itself into a corner with an opening scene that includes a super-preliminary conversation between resort manager Valentina (Sabrina Impacciatore) and her employee Rocco (Federico Ferrante). In it, Rocco tells her that a guest drowned, as well as that "Salvatore says other bodies have been found." Though he doesn't use the word murder, he does say that "other guests have been killed." This scene is deliciously vague, leaving it unclear whether all of these deaths were accidental or purposeful, whether they were related, and even if they're all confirmed.

“The White Lotus” first opened its doors in July 2021 and went on to become an awards juggernaut, winning 10 Emmys including Best Limited Series, Best Supporting Actress (Jennifer Coolidge), Best Supporting Actor (Murray Bartlett), and Best Writing and Best Directing (Mike White). Months after its debut, HBO announced there would be a second season but, since it’s an anthology series, the plot and characters would all be fresh. Mostly. Coolidge and Jon Gries are both back for “The White Lotus: Sicily” as wealthy resort guest Tanya McQuoid and her new beau Greg, respectively. The general concept of the new episodes will also be the same, as it focuses on several different groups of people attending the high-end luxury chain. Only this time, as you can infer from the title, it takes place in Italy instead of Hawaii. Scroll through our gallery above (or click here for direct access) to see...
