Meadowlark Media, the content studio founded by former ESPN president John Skipper and ESPN radio host Dan Le Batard, wants a sports content franchise to call its own.
And so the production company is launching its most ambitious content effort yet, a multi-platform series called Sports Explains the World.
“We are putting a stake in the ground that we are going to be a storytelling company,” Skipper tells The Hollywood Reporter. “When we launched the company, what we wanted to do overwhelmingly is to tell stories. Both in the number of podcasts we do and in our video. And one of the great ways to tell a story is to have an anthology series in which to put those.”
Sports Explains the World is Meadowlark’s “bold statement” that it is playing to win. “When we launched 30 for 30 [at ESPN], people knew it was quality,...

In Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, you play as the “Fateless One,” a hero unique in the world for his ability to change the fates of others however he or she sees fit. So it’s ironic that, given the opportunity to do whatever they wanted with this last-gen cult classic from 2012, developer Kaiko and publisher Thq Nordic did so little to improve the experience for the remaster.
Honestly, it’s a struggle to even note much of an update to the graphics. Character models are a little bit smoother. Parts of the varied fantasy world look a little bit brighter, but overall it doesn’t appear that textures have seen much of an improvement. There aren’t even many graphics options in the PC version. No one watching this game in motion is going to mistake it for a new release.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, a remaster of Kingdoms of Amalur, has been delayed to September but is now set to receive a brand new Dlc expansion called Fatesworn.
Thq Nordic hasn’t revealed much about this new expansion, but it appears that it’s being built from the ground up for the purposes of this remaster. That means that it should be different from some of the previously unreleased content that is expected to be included with the base version of the remaster. However, we’re still waiting for the full details regarding the scope of the Fatesworn expansion in that respect.
Speaking of the base version, it appears that the new plan is for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning to be released for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 8. It was previously scheduled for release on August 18.

Curt Schilling has retreated from social media after comparing Bubba Wallace's discovery of a noose in his garage to the controversial incident involving Jussie Smollett. The famed baseball player turned Blaze TV commentator quipped on his now de-activated Twitter account, "So we have @JussieSmollett v 2.0? Where is the media recanting their idiocy?" As some will recall, in Jan. 2019, Smollett claimed that he was the victim of an attack in which two offenders approached him and gained his attention by yelling out racial and homophobic slurs. He also alleged that the offenders poured an unknown chemical substance on him and threw a noose around...

A day after pro-Trump actors Kristy Swanson and Dean Cain retweeted what Swanson described as a “death threat” over their involvement in writer-producer Phelim McAleer’s planned performance piece FBI Lovebirds: UnderCovers, McAleer is using the tweets for fundraising.
Calling theater “the most leftist of all the arts,” McAleer writes in his fundraising pitch today: “It is shocking! They claim to love the arts and the Hollywood left is always giving awards congratulating themselves about how brave they are, but no one from the left or Hollywood has condemned this death threat to artists and their audience – just for telling the truth.”
The contretemps started Wednesday with news that Cain and Swanson will portray FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page in a one-night-only crowdsource-funded stage reading of the real-life duo’s now-infamous anti-Trump text messages. The reading, set for June 13 at the Mead Theatre in Washington, D.C., will...

A boast, a warning, an analysis, a clarification, an insult, a shout-out – it’s been a busy morning already for President Donald Trump on Twitter, as the Commander-in-Tweet continues to battle for his agenda with his permanent, ephemeral and hidden foes.
Coming off his address on the border issues, the President came out swinging against Nancy Pelosi in particular, calling her a “Radical Democrat” whose behavior is irrational, warning her to “be careful.”
On a lighter note, he did tweet that he’s looking forward to his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Later in the day, the President sent out a number of retweets, and saluted some of sporting’s finest.
The tweetstorm so far:
Curt Schilling deserves to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Great record, especially when under pressure and when it mattered most. Do what everyone in Baseball knows is right! @marklevinshow

So it is with Q, the anonymous executive-branch staffer who is said to be leaking “breadcrumbs” across the bowels of the Internet, illuminating a vast subterranean effort to expose Donald Trump’s enemies for everything from pedophilia to killing Princess Diana to causing Hurricane Katrina.

This fall, Monday Night Football‘s play-by-play commentator, Mike Tirico, will pass the ball — well, the mic, anyway — to Sean McDonough.
As our sister site, Deadline, reports, after Tirico departs for his new gig at NBC Sports, he’ll be replaced by McDonough, who has been a member of the Espn team since 2000. (He was also a part of the cable network’s roster from 1989-95.) In addition to working everything from the World Series and the Ncaa Final Four to the Olympic Games and college football, the Mvp has called NFL games for Espn Radio for the last three years.

Curt Schilling spoke out about his Espn firing today in an interview with SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily, saying he might have acted differently if he needed the job for financial reasons. “If that job meant I had to continue doing it to put a roof over the head of my family and food on my table, I'm probably acting a little differently than I did,” Schilling said. “A lot of people can't or won't jeopardize what they do for a living to be and espouse the things they…...
