"Woo! Now you're flyin', boy!" A24 has revealed the official trailer for the film The Iron Claw, directed by Sean Durkin. Critics have been raving about this, set to open soon this month. The film is about the family of wrestlers, the Von Erich family, and their legacy as they popularized wrestling helping make it a big success. The film is centered around this Texas family, a dynasty of wrestlers from the 1960s onwards that had enormous success, and popularized the iron claw professional wrestling hold. However, they not only had to battle inside of the ring, but also fight the "Von Erich curse" outside of it. This stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson as Kevin, Kerry and David Von Erich, respectively. The film's cast also includes Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany, Stanley Simons, Brady Pierce, and Lily James, plus a few real wrestlers including Ryan Nemeth. This featurette...

"He said, if we were the toughest, the strong, nothing would ever hurt us. I believed him. We all did..." A24 has revealed the official trailer for the film The Iron Claw, directed by Sean Durkin. This is about the family of wrestlers, the Von Erich family, and their legacy as they popularized wrestling helping make it a big success. Strangely it has skipped all the fall film festivals, but will still be opening in theaters in late December at the end of 2023. For months now, we've been seeing paparazzi photos of Zac Efron looking extremely beefy with a silly haircut, and hearing reports about "The Bear" star Jeremy Allen White's "gross" diet in preparation for the new A24 film, "The Iron Claw." For outsiders looking in, "The Iron Claw" looks like a wrestling drama, and many are thrilled to see the pair of actors step into the squared circle of muscle ballet. However, the average Joe's opinion of wrestling is rooted in the heyday of Hulkamania, the Attitude Era of the late '90s, or through crossover stars who have since become actors. Here's the thing: It's really cool that Allen and Efron are going to be in a wrestling movie, but if you're anticipating something like the extremely fun "Fighting With My Family" starring Florence Pugh or the deeply moving biopic "Cassandro" starring Gael García Bernal ... you're in for a hell of a rude awakening.

It’s Monday so you know what that means, it’s time for our weekly review of Aew: Rampage! This week’s show features Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Jim Ross on commentary. Now let’s get to the review…
Match #1: Bullet Club Gold (Jay White & Juice Robinson) def. Ricky Starks & Shawn Spears The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Both teams began brawling at the start of the match. Ricky whipped Robinson into the guardrail. Spears pulled Jay White off the apron and to the floor. Spears hammered Juice with shots. Jay White distracted Spears and then Juice wiped out Spears with an axe kick. Jay White grabbed Spears and planted him hard on the edge of the ring. White and Robinson isolated Shawn Spears in their corner, with Jay White laying in the heavy leather. Jay White cut off Spears’ comeback attempt. Spears turned things around with a suplex on Jay White.

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Mr. Love might be a tush-pusher. We’ve got more matches and some taffy sandwiches, so sit your woffle-knob down and get ready for the most splendiferous pudding pop you’ve ever crammed down your wind pipe.
Match #1: Hikaru Shida def. Rache Chanel
My Opinion: 2.6 out of 5 – Shida carried Rache to a passable match where Rache got away with too much ham-fisted character stuff. It was nice having Shida here, but she should be defending her title against the best Aew’s women’s division has to offer, not the entry-level interns (no offense to Rache). I wish Rache would focus more some chops or uppercuts, rather than the hair-combing spot she seems to be fond of.
Match #2: Kip Sabian def. Corey Hollis
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – This was a nice showing for Kip,...
