After becoming the mascot for an unsuspecting sorority, a seemingly lovable sloth unleashes their killer instincts on the members of the Sigma Lambda Theta house in the official trailer for Slotherhouse, coming to theaters on August 30th from Gravitas Ventures:
Synopsis: It’s senior year of college for sorority sister Emily Young and for the first time ever, Sigma Lambda Theta is having elections for who will be president. Wanting to have a killer year, Emily Young realizes she might just be the best option for her sorority. While beginning her campaign, she finds an adorable sloth that steals her heart and soon realizes she just might steal the hearts, and votes, of her sorority sisters. But when bodies slowly begin to pile up in the Sigma Lambda Theta house, Emily and her sorority sisters realize the deaths are being caused by their new house mascot, the cuddly sloth Alpha.

Rarovideo is back, with an excellent Italo war drama that finds humanist values in an appalling situation: a young Italian lieutenant is tasked with distributing 12 Athenian prostitutes to garrisons on the road back to Italy, to ‘service’ the troops. It’s a mixed group — a couple of the women have signed up to avoid starvation. The trek takes them directly into partisan conflict. Sympathetic director Valerio Zurlini assembles a terrific international cast: Mario Adorf, Anna Karina, Tomas Milian, Marie Laforêt, Lea Massari, Valeria Moriconi and Milena Dravic.

Horror Channel have announced a double bill season of brain-munching zombie movies. Including five UK TV premieres. Rising up from the Friday 6th April are a putrid plethora of zombie movies, both contemporary and classic, celebrating the popularity of one of the genre’s most enduring archetypal villains. The season reflects the diverse range of metaphors these ungodly creatures represent – from the breakdown of society to our addiction to consumerism and taste for the military.
6th April @ 22:55 – Night Of The Living Dead (1968)
The season kicks off with the genre classic, George Romero’s Night Of The Living Dead. It’s 1968 and America watches horrified as grimy black and white news footage from Vietnam reveals the true monsters in this world – us. It was this political backdrop that spurred Romero to make his ground-breaking movie, harnessing the horror of watching a national disaster unfold on the news – before it comes...

Yesterday news broke that porn diva Jenna Jameson might be starring in the sequel to Zone of the Dead, titled Island of the Damned. Well, said news not only broke but was broken. Something smelled fishy to begin with, and it wasn't the porn stars. Time to set the record straight.

Jenna Jameson may be joining Ken Foree ( Dawn of the Dead ) for Island of the Damned , a sequel to the Serbian zombie horror film Zone of the Dead , in which Foree stars. It appears some drastic things have changed to the plot since we last reported on the sequel in 2010 when it was announced under the title Wrath of the Dead . According to Blic Online, Foree is reprising his role as Agent Mortimer Reyes who is called to an the Indonesian island of Bawean to rescue "porn divas" from the walking dead. Some sort of communist conspiracy is behind the rise of the corpses. The funny thing about Blic's report is that it states Jameson will star, but they follow it with co-director Milan Todorovic saying he would "love" Jameson to be featured in the film....

In The ghoulish tradition of George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead comes Serbia's first entry in the zombie genre, entitled Apocalypse of the Dead.
Released by Metrodome on DVD in the UK and Ireland on Monday, March 1, it's directed by Milan Konjevic and Milan Todorovic.
The film stars American actor Ken Foree who, notably, was in the 1979 original of Dawn of the Dead. Foree, 61, was also in Rob Zombie's 2007 remake of Halloween while his surname is referenced in the 2004 spoof Shaun of the Dead.
The actor, in his first lead role for three decades, plays Interpol agent Mortimer Reyes who, with rookie colleague Mina Milius (Kristina Klebe), is part of a group transporting a dangerous prisoner (Emilio Roso) to Belgrade. Klebe was also in the Halloween remake.
They encounter rampaging hordes of zombies in a plague of terror which has been created by a toxic leak and spread by the creatures' blood-thirsty bites.

Zone Of The Dead is a disappointing film about zombies. Yes, another one of those cheap knock-offs too preoccupied with their obvious homages to actually deliver something original.
This is one of those flicks in which characters have names after genre greats; here we have agents Savini and Bottin, while the female lead is called Mina Millius. Pity that neither the make-up effects nor direction in this film are anywhere near the works of the invoked masters.
This is one of those flicks in which they just put make-up on a bunch of friends and family members who are too happy to clown around, each playing their own version of a zombie, but with no real coordination or training that real stuntmen and extras would have.
