- In addition to his Owner/Chief Instructor position at the Arlington school, Robert was hired as a Faculty member of The University of Texas at Arlington. He directed and taught the course, "Self Defense for Women", from August 1999 - December 2001. His classes were very popular and were filled to capacity at 200 students per semester, with over 150 additional requests to enroll after the classes were filled.

- Ranked as a 7th degree black belt (Master level) in the Chayon-Ryu System of martial arts under Grandmaster Kim Pyung-soo.
- Is a licensed amateur radio operator (HAM) - KC5CCO (W5TKP).
- Appointed as "Special Correspondent & Photographer" for Taekwondo Times Magazine. (April 2006)
- Teaching at his martial arts school in Arlington, Texas and working as "Fight Choreographer" on local Independent Film Projects. (December 2002)
