A surprising amount of "Star Trek" worldbuilding manifests in beverages. It does make sense, though, since not all alien worlds out there would have the same drinks that us Earthlings do. Take Klingon bloodwine; it's only natural that a warrior race literally drinks blood. The crystal-blue colored Romulan ale is consistently described as under embargo in the Federation; naturally, two warring powers don't conduct legal trade. While Cardassian Kanar is not consistently colored, it proved surprisingly integral to the arc of Damar (Casey Biggs), who takes solace in a bottle and must pull himself out of it to be a resistance leader during "Deep Space Nine."
"Star Trek: Lower Decks" is a love letter to each corner of the franchise's history. Sure enough, the latest episode has some beverage-related Easter eggs. In "Parth Ferengi's Heart Place," the U.S.S. Cerritos takes a trip to the Ferengi homeworld of Ferenginar.

Exclusive: The inspiring story of Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin and his road back to football after nearly dying on the field last January will be turned into a feature film documentary. Did We Win will highlight the player’s miraculous recovery since stunning the NFL when he collapsed on the field and went into cardiac arrest during a Monday Night Football game last January, after sustaining a blow to the chest.
As his teammates wept, things looked dire as the game stopped for 10 minutes as shocked viewers watched medical personnel administer CPR and an Aed on the field to get Hamlin’s heart beating again.
Aside from the awareness that Hamlin has brought to sudden cardiac arrest, Hamlin might get an opportunity for the ultimate on-field redemption tonight when the Buffalo Bills play the New York Jets. Hamlin is expected to suit up and might play this evening, remarkable...

This Star Trek: Picard article contains spoilers.
For all of its fan-service reunion moments and surprisingly deep character drama, Star Trek: Picard doesn’t forget to give us the spectacle we’ve come to expect from the franchise in 2023. So while the portal gun that Vadic stole from Daystrom Institute is undeniably cool, our interest was more than a little piqued by the reveal that the portal gun caper was just a cover for a different object. And then, as excited as we were to see most of the The Next Generation crew back together again, the reunion hid an even bigger surprise when the Data/Lore/B-4/Noonian Soong sampler platter revealed that the thing actually stolen from Daystrom was Jean-Luc Picard’s human remains.
What in the world would a bunch of Changelings want with an elderly man’s body, so broken down that even he exchanged it for a new one?...

The third season of "Star Trek: Picard" brings back a lot of fan-favorite concepts and characters from the beloved series "Star Trek: The Next Generation," but it has also resurrected a major plot point from one of its contemporaries, "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." In episode 3 (read our review here!), Worf (Michael Dorn) and Raffi (Michelle Hurd) discover that, after the events of the Dominion War, the Changelings splintered into two factions: one connected to the Great Link, with Odo (René Auberjonois), and another that wanted to complete the domination goals of the Founders and get revenge on the Federation and the whole Alpha Quadrant. There's also a Changeling aboard the Titan, wreaking havoc and sabotaging the ship at every turn. The Changelings are back in a big way, and they don't necessarily require an understanding of the...

The AFC Championship Game won’t be shuffling off to Buffalo or taking a train or plane to Kansas City, if the chalk on the NFL playoffs proves accurate.
If the favored Bills and the Chiefs both advance to the conference title game, the contest that decides who will be heading to the Super Bowl will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the NFL announced Thursday.
Buffalo has a home wild card matchup against the Dolphins this Sunday, the start of the NFL playoffs, while Kansas City awaits the lowest remaining seed in the Divisional Round following a bye week.
If one of Buffalo or Kansas City is eliminated, the AFC Championship’s location would revert to the home field of the highest-remaining seed.

Buffalo Bills’ defensive back Damar Hamlin had to be taken off the field on a stretcher on Monday in a frightening incident that lead to the game against the Cincinnati Bengals being suspended until further notice.
During the first quarter of Monday’s match-up, Hamlin tackled Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins, and both men appeared to be uninjured following the tackle. However, shortly after, Damar appeared to stumble and collapse on the field.
