Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Former Company, Revolt, Issues Statement Condemning His Attack On Cassie Ventura
The employees of Revolt, the media company cofounded by Sean “Diddy” Combs, have reacted to the video showing him assaulting a former girlfriend at a hotel.
In an Instagram post, employees stated, “We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the recent video circulation of our former chairman, Sean “Diddy” Combs.
“Even with his recent separation from Revolt, it is still our duty to address this matter, and recognize the direct impact it has on our staff, our audience, and the culture we represent.”
Diddy co-founded Revolt with Andy Schuon in 2013. Combs stepped away from it in November 2023 after sexual misconduct allegations against him first surfaced.
The company now says it “stands in solidarity” with all victims of domestic abuse.
The statement made no mention of the assaulted girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, by name. Her allegations against Combs first prompted him to step down last year as chairman of Revolt.

Just one month after Revolt celebrated its 10-year anniversary, the company embarked on a rocky path and still faces questions about its future after founder Sean “Diddy” Combs stepped down as its chairman amid allegations of sexual assault in November.
Combs removed himself from the company after he was beset with multiple lawsuits, the first from ex-girlfriend Cassie, who accused him of sexual assault and other forms of abuse in an explosive lawsuit Combs quickly settled while denying the claims. Additional lawsuits were filed by others; the case against Combs grew even more serious March 25, when his houses were raided by federal agents as part of what was described as an ongoing investigation.
Combs launched Revolt with former studio executive Andy Schuon in October 2013 as an urban music-focused digital cable television network geared toward African American audiences, and remained a visible part of the brand until his departure. Yet despite...

In the wake of three lawsuits alleging sexual assault, Sean “Diddy” Combs has temporarily stepped aside as chairman of Revolt, the music-oriented television network he co-founded in 2013. Representatives for Combs confirmed the news to Variety.
A statement posted to Revolt’s Instagram page reads, in part: “Sean Combs has stepped down from his position as chairman of Revolt. And yet, since its October launch, Revolt has not been available in Comcast’s hometown, Philadelphia. Schoen told TV critics this morning they’re working on that. “People are noticing” he said of the omission. “Have they given you a date?” a Philly TV critic asked. Comcast had committed to launching Revolt “to a certain percentage of homes” in its digital basic tier and to roll it out “in more markets over time.” He noted the network is availabie in Seattle, the Bay area and Miami and in some smaller markets. “We’re a fairly obvious market,” the Philly critic snarked. He declined to say how many homes Revolt is available in because, he said when pressed,...

Former MTV VJ Kennedy (real name Lisa Kennedy Montgomery) has released a memoir, titled "The Kennedy Chronicles," wherein she writes about everything at the music video channel from the top artists of the day to random celebrity encounters -- including one with NBA legend Michael Jordan.
In the book, according to TMZ, Kennedy was out to dinner with Jordan and Russell Simmons when Jordan busted out some dice and wanted to "play for something," saying that if he won, Kennedy had to come back to his hotel room with him.
Kennedy writes that she was a virgin at the time and kind of freaked out, so she asked for Knicks tickets instead, which is when Jordan reminded her that he was married and offered her Nets tickets.
"Sure, he'll filet my vag like a sea bass if he won at dice on a men's room floor ... but as soon as...

Following last year’s announcement of his music-themed cable network, Revolt TV, Sean “Diddy” Combs has officially chosen July for its launch.
Distributed through Comcast and co-founded by former MTV programming chief, Andy Schuon, the developing channel has already begun rolling out a string of viral clips featuring Pittsburgh rapper, Mac Miller, The Game and a 53-second teaser in promotion of the network’s launch.
The network will be “the first channel created entirely from the ground up in this new era of social media," Combs said in a statement obtained by the Los Angeles Times. "We’re building this platform for artists to reach an extraordinary number of people in a completely different way. Revolt will be live, like all great moments in television history.”
Though Comcast is currently slated as the channel’s primary cable provider, Combs also has intentions on expanding to other major distributors.

Universal Music Group's new 24-hour music channel is launching today thanks to a New York federal court ruling. A U.S. District Court judge ordered EchoStar Communications to carry IMF: The International Music Feed on its Dish Network, issuing a mandatory preliminary injunction Wednesday. UMG parent company Vivendi Universal sued EchoStar for breach of contract after the satellite service postponed the Jan. 22 launch date of IMF. "We are clearly pleased with the court's ruling," IMF president Andy Schuon said in a statement. "We are excited to bring a fresh global music perspective to U.S. television viewers." Litigation is pending between UMG and EchoStar, but the court found that Vivendi was "extremely likely to prevail," according to the injunction.

Universal Music and EchoStar are said to be launching a 24-hour music channel, according to a report in the New York Post Wednesday. The channel is still unnamed, said the Post, but will feature music from all over the world. It is scheduled to launch in early 2005. The former head of music programming at MTV, Andy Schuon, is said to be working on the launch with Universal, according to the Post.

Universal Music Group and EchoStar Communications, owner of the direct-broadcast satellite service Dish Network, are in talks about the formation of a new 24-hour music channel, according to sources. Andy Schuon -- former head of music programming at MTV and VH1 and a veteran of radio chain Infinity Broadcasting and the digital music service Pressplay (once part-owned by Universal and now part of Roxio's Napster) -- is reportedly working with UMG on the development of the channel. A UMG spokesman could not be reached for comment. EchoStar declined comment. Joining forces with a satellite service with considerable distribution -- 10.5 million subscribers -- would give the music industry's biggest record label a sizable footprint from which to launch a showcase for its artists in a multichannel environment most inhospitable to startups, particularly independents. In recent months, EchoStar has made significant investments in new cable channels including Si TV and Comcast-owned G4 TechTV.
