Dancer in vaudeville; much later a voice artist on radio, and known in her home town of Hackensack, New Jersey under the name of "B. Mercedes Keen" as a travelling storyteller called "Pandora of the Enchanted Island." She read to schoolchildren, and in the 1930s had her own local radio show under that name.
