Listen, we know reality TV isn't exactly, well, real... but it's still super shocking when a star reveals exactly what's going on behind-the-scenes. It's like breaking the fourth wall, and it freaks us out! This was especially true after the Aug. 20 episode of Bachelor in Paradise, when the too-quickly-cast-off Jacqueline Trumbull complained that the editing didn't fairly represent her. So here's the necessary context: Jacqueline arrived on the show. She asked Colton Underwood on a date, but he said no Then, she asked Kenny Layne to go out with her, which he accepted. They had a great time discussing Edgar Allen Poe and joking about how it's her birthday and women get better with age. Unfortunately Kenny also hit it off with Annaliese, and he gave her the rose instead. As she left, Jacqueline enjoyed a sad cake alone, and mused about how she really thought she had something special with Kenny.

Finally! Bachelor in Paradise is back, and the cast for Season 5 of the reality dating competition spin-off is officially lit. However, there might be two latecomers that fans will be especially excited for... Bachelorette fan favorites Blake Horstmann and Jason Tartick! Colton Underwood actually sparked the rumors on Aug. 9, when he posted a photo in swimsuits beside Leo (who is appeared in the first epsiode along with Colton) and Blake. Fans immeditely took this to mean that Blake would be in Paradise with the other two. "Does this mean Blake goes to Paradise!?!?!?" asked one fan, while another said, "Omg! If Blake walks down those stairs, I might scream!" The photo was also taken by Megan Firestore, a producer for all three shows. Of course, it could be a throwback to Bachelorette, but then Colton added more fuel to the fire in the comments. Blake and Leo... what are you guys looking at?...

For the past 15 years, ABC's The Bachelor franchise has beguiled America with its blend of sponsored fantasy and structured reality, while also being glaringly white. At best, its relationship with race has been noncommital and, at worst, toxic. If people of color do make it past casting – some seasons had zero minorities – they usually don't last. Latinxs, East and South Asians remain a rarity on the reality series (though half-Asian women fare well once they're there) and, according to a 2016 analysis, most black contestants are gone within two weeks.

Only three men still stand in Rachel Lindsay's quest for interracial love (c'mon, we all know it) in season 13 of The Bachelorette, but before poor dancin' Eric can two-step off into the lonely sunset, it's time for the catty whinefest that is The Men Tell All.
Most of the manufactured drama played out in the early part of the season, so it will be interesting to see who gets time in the hot seat other than black-and-back Dean and Pretty Boy Pitbull Kenny.

'The Bachelorette': Rachel Lindsay Tearfully Picks Her Final 4 as a Frontrunner Questions Everything
After a week without Rachel Lindsay, The Bachelorette finally returned on Monday night -- and delivered tears as promised!
The tears were not, however, in reaction to a supposed fight between Rachel and frontrunner Peter, as the promos had teased (great job on editing!).
Watch: 'The Bachelorette': A Fight With One Suitor Gives Kenny a Bloody Eye -- But It Wasn't Lee!
Nonetheless, things did get emotional as the 32-year-old attorney selected her final four, and though we pretty much knew who she was going to pick after last week's bloodbath, the episode was not without its own revelations.
Here's what went down:
Bryan Is #Blessed
If there was anyone #blessed on this drama-filled episode, it was Bryan, who was so happy about being treated to a fancy watch on his one-on-one date with Rachel, we almost forgot it was coming out of production's budget, not hers. The chiropractor also got in a great line about...

So long, who and huh?! Yes, The Bachelorette finally bid adieu to Adam and Matt in tonight's episode. Oh wait, you don't know who Adam and Matt are? Well, call us 50 Cent because you can find us in that very club as we are still baffled as to how the guy who brought a puppet version of himself (who happens to have more personality than he does) and the dude who wore a penguin suit made it to the top six. We Repeat: these two men made it to the top six. Over Kenny! Over Will! Over DeMario! (Too soon?) But who are we to judge Rachel Lindsay, one of the greatest Bachelorettes ever gifted to us by ABC? After several episodes of disputes between a white and black contestant on The Bachelorette, the tension finally simmered over Tuesday night when Lee Garrett, the white contestant, was eliminated by lead Rachel Lindsay on the sixth episode of the ABC reality series. The episode also saw Lindsay slashing her suitors down to six remaining men after sending a whopping six contestants home. Only one black contestant of the history-making diverse group remains.
The bulk of the promised "drama" by ABC — which included a misleading bloody eye — unfolded on Monday's episode, with Garrett's elimination taking place at the outset of the second night of the heavily teased two-part event. Though Garrett is gone, he leaves weeks of conversations sparked by his actions in his wake.

Kenny might have survived his two-on-one date with Lee and Rachel on The Bachelorette but it wasn't an extended reprieve. Rachel sent Kenny home on the next group date, recognizing that there was no romantic future for them and that he needed to get back to his daughter. It was a sad moment but an inevitable one as there didn't seem to be many sparks between Rachel and Kenny. Yet while Kenny's time with Rachel didn't work out, it shouldn't be the last time Bachelor Nation sees him on TV. Kenny would make the perfect new lead for The Bachelor.

Monday's episode of The Bachelorette, when it wasn't about Rachel falling for (and with) with Bryan, was about Kenny vs. Lee. Kenny, of course, is the sensitive, kindhearted pro wrestler. He's not a killer but don't push him. Lee is the "snakey" Southern gentleman who lives to create drama, and he

The Bachelorette season 13 is pulling out all the stops in week 5. But is Twitter impressed? That is not so certain.

Last week, The Bachelorette touched on racial issues for one of the first times in franchise history — and this week, it truly zeroed in on them as the drama brewing between Kenny and Lee bubbled over.
The end result? A two-on-one date for the ages. Let’s jump in.

Things picked up where they left off last week, with Kenny — once again — confronting Lee for telling Rachel that he was “aggressive.” The confrontation ultimately fizzled out when Lee walked away, but resumed just moments later after Rachel decided to hand out the group date rose to Bryan.

I like that The Bachelorette is back-to-back this week so that we don't have to wait too long for the resolution of the Kenny vs. Lee cliff-hanger, which will inevitably disappoint. The only satisfying outcome would be Kenny suplexing Lee into seeing the error of his ways, and since there's no way

2017-06-21T13:23:22-07:00Rachel Lindsay Speaks Out About Racial Tension on 'Bachelorette'
Rachel Lindsay has broken her silence on controversial contestant Lee Garrett.
For two episodes and counting, The Bachelorette has centered its drama on Garrett, a contestant who has been accused of picking fights with black contestants. On Monday's episode, Garrett, a white singer-songwriter from Nashville, antagonized Kenny "'Pretty Boy Pitbull" King, a black wrestler from Las Vegas.
Their on-screen confrontations — many of which happened when Lindsay wasn't around — ultimately caused the Bachelorette to have a tearful breakdown over the pressure of being the first black lead in the franchise.
"I get pressure from so many ways being in this position," she said to the camera, directly addressing the high-stakes of her history-making season for the first time. "I already know what people are going to say about me, and judge me for the decisions I'm making. I'm going to have to be the one who has to deal with that and nobody else, and that's a lot."

Well, in case there were any doubts that The Bachelorette's Lee is an actual nightmare, he did his best to confirm it on tonight's episode, which picked up right where the last episode left off. Lee was still intent on stirring any and all pots, and after he got done arguing with Eric, he turned his sights on Kenny and admitted to the cameras that he had no trouble making the other guys angry and doing whatever he felt he had to do to win. You know it’s going to be a good episode when it opens with Rachel Lindsay hanging out with her adorable dog, Copper, who is the real Mvp this season. But the producers were truly smiling down upon us this week, because not only did Monday’s episode feature more Copper screen time than most contestants on night one, but it also featured our new favorite Bachelor super-fans, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, and, of course, the most glorious character assassination DeMario-got-caught-red-handed-with-his-pants-down moment of all time.
