Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have concluded their three-day tour of Nigeria to champion Invictus Games and are now back in the US.
With everything that’s been going on with the couple – via the launch of American Riviera Orchard, Harry’s Netflix Polo docuseries and Meghan’s cooking show – experts are beginning to question their relevancy in the US.
Who’s interested to see a Prince play Polo or watch a Duchess cook?
Americans Have Reportedly Lost Interest In the Sussexes For This Reason
Harry and Meghan’s move to the US in 2020 was rife with controversies, yes, but not enough to rival the ones they created by attacking the royal family through as many media platforms as they could lay their hands on – I’m talking books, podcasts, talkshows, interviews, documentaries and so on and so forth.

Okay, here we go again. The Meghan Markle bashing train continues, and this time, she’s being criticized for not uttering a word about King Charles and Princess Kate during her and husband Prince Harry’s recent tour of Nigeria.
Something tells me she’d have been bashed as well even if she did mention them. Hmm.
Meghan Markle Slammed For Not Throwing In A Good Word For King Charles and Princess Kate Amid Their Cancer Treatments
At this point, if anybody asked my opinion, I’d say it’s better for the Royal Family and the Sussexes to do their own things until they can find peace, if that can happen.
But Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan apparently does not see it that way. According to her, the Duchess ought to have said something about her father-in-law and sister-in-law, who are both currently receiving treatments for cancer.

Inspector Dave Toschi needs a night off. After years of chasing the so-called Zodiac Killer, Toschi thought he had found his man, only for his captain to shoot him down, citing insufficient evidence to make an arrest. At the movie theater later on, the picture Toschi watches with his wife doesn’t make him feel any better. It’s Dirty Harry, the 1971 movie in which Clint Eastwood‘s Inspector Harry Callahan does battle with a killer called Scorpio.
Frustrated by what he’s seeing, Toschi heads to the lobby for a smoke. As viewers shuffle out after him, one remarks, “Dave, that Harry Callahan did a hell of a job with your case.”
“Yeah, no need for due process, right?” Toschi responds sarcastically to indicate his frustration.
Or, at least that’s how it went in the movies. Specifically, the film Zodiac, written by James Vanderbilt and directed by David Fincher,...

Stephen King is calling out Warner Bros. for holding off on releasing Salem’s Lot, which had been set to release in 2023.
The horror book author took to social media to share his thoughts and update his followers that he had seen the film and was pleased with it.
“Between you and me, Twitter, I’ve seen the new Salem’S Lot and it’s quite good,” King shared on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “Old-school horror filmmaking: slow build, big payoff.”
He continued, “Not sure why WB is holding it back; not like it’s embarrassing, or anything. Who knows. I just write the fucking things.”

Royalists remain abuzz about the launch of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s fourth website in five years. However, their newest social media page hides a big secret.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new webpage may have defied Queen Elizabeth’s wishes
In an interview with journalist Megyn Kelly, Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan revealed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have defied the late Queen Elizabeth’s wishes while launching their new website. While the couple’s fourth rebrand attempt appears to move them into the future, it contains a link to their past.
Callahan said, “I’m trying to figure it out. It’s the rebrand, of a rebrand, of a rebrand.”
She continued, “The link is Sussex.com. It also links to Sussexroyal.com, which the queen told them to stop using immediately when she was still alive.”
In 2020, Queen Elizabeth disapproved of the couple using the Sussex Royal brand.

In 1971, Clint Eastwood's Harry Callahan saved San Francisco from a theatrical serial killer while simultaneously establishing the "loose canon" genre of cop movies. "Dirty Harry" saw Andrew Robinson's Scorpio Killer sniping innocent Franciscans before he's taken down by Eastwood's lone wolf cop, in a film that caused significant controversy upon its release with many critics accusing it of being fascist propaganda. As time has gone on, the prevailing view of the film has become much more favorable, and "Dirty Harry" is now considered easily one of the best films of the 1970s, and even 21st century as a whole.
That's a good thing, because despite the fact that Eastwood's cavalier inspector appears to be a walking endorsement of police brutality and extreme right-wing values, the movie as a whole should leave any discerning viewer conflicted and reflective. After all, director Don Siegel obviously went to great lengths...

This post contains spoilers for the "Dirty Harry" films.
Don Siegel's "Dirty Harry" changed cop movies forever upon its release in 1971. Capitalizing on the "law and order" craze stoked by President Richard Nixon, which was a reaction to the perceived anarchy of the various protest movements of the 1960s, Clint Eastwood's Miranda rights-flouting Harry Callahan fed conservative moviegoers a big, juicy slab of red meat. It also allowed the actor to flourish in a genre outside of Westerns, thus expanding his appeal and turning him into one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood.
"Dirty Harry" ends with Callahan, having caught and killed (in self-defense) a vicious serial killer, hurling his badge into a quarry. Throughout the movie, his hard-driving, occasionally extrajudicial methods, which could've resulted in a swift arrest and saved multiple lives, are decried by his superiors. It appears the inspector has had enough. Audiences, however,...

It appears the inspector has had enough. Audiences, however,...

Josie in Bottoms is a tomboyish, lesbian, and introverted character played by Ayo Edebiri. The character is somewhat socially inept in comparison to her best friend, Pj. She has her eyes set on the attractive cheerleader, Isabel, who is supposedly the girlfriend of the popular football player Jeff, in their high school. She plays along with the mindless idea of Pj spreading lies, just to start a fight club. This brings to light that the character of Josie is gullible by nature and quite easy to manipulate. Directed by Emma Seligman, the comedy movie Bottoms is replete with queer content. The comic elements could definitely be compared to high-school comedies like Mean Girls and American Pie. However, placing queer characters as the central figures in the movie has set it apart from regular high-school comedies. What the character of Josie does to cope with all the high school drama can...

You’ll want to catch Emma Seligman’s “Bottoms” while it’s in theaters. Buzz surrounding the Orion Pictures film has spread as quickly as the gossip about its two main characters did at Rockbridge Falls High School.
You’ll probably recognize at least one of the famous faces in the ensemble cast, whether it be “The Bear” star Ayo Edebiri, “Red White & Royal Blue” star Nicholas Galitzine or “Shiva Baby” breakout Rachel Sennott. Sennott and Seligman previously worked together on “Shiva Baby,” and the pair co-wrote the screenplay for “Bottoms.”
The film released in limited theaters Aug. 25 in Los Angeles, New York, Austin and San Francisco. The Alamo Drafthouse cinemas, arthouses and AMC screens showed the film its opening weekend. The combination of limited screens and lack of streaming makes for tricky navigation of how to watch “Bottoms,” but we’ve got you covered in the meantime before it eventually lands somewhere to stream.

The Elizabeth Banks-produced sex comedy Bottoms has hit theaters, and now, its soundtrack featuring music by Charli Xcx and composer Leo Birenberg is out, too. Stream the album below.
Spanning 27 songs, the Bottoms soundtrack features music co-composed by Charli and Birenberg, ranging in style and intensity. Tracks like “Bottoms” and “Sex with Mrs. Callahan” bring the upbeat, bit-crushed pop maximalism that you’d hope for from a Charli tune. Meanwhile, slower, more ambient tracks like “Josie and Juvie” and “Study Buddies” send the listener floating off into a vibey, ethereal atmosphere.
The soundtrack is augmented by additional production from The 1975’s George Daniel and longtime Charli collaborator A. G. Cook. Some Charli-heavy songs, like “Yes No Okay,” even feature guitar distortion and the rhythmic scratches, swooshes, and scrapes reminiscent of Cook’s 7G era, with Charli’s vocals carrying the perfect attitude over top. A couple weeks ago, it was announced that Terminator star Linda Hamilton has signed on to play a role in season 5 of the Netflix series Stranger Things – which also happens to be the final season of the show. Now Netflix has revealed that 10 Cloverfield Lane and Prey director Dan Trachtenberg will be directing an episode of Stranger Things season 5. They didn’t say which episode he’ll be directing – the premiere, the finale, some episode that will fall in between – but we will be seeing a Trachtenberg-helmed episode somewhere along the line.
Stranger Things season 5 was supposed to be filming right now, but the start of production has been delayed due to the writers strike.
Stranger Things season 4 had the following synopsis: It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for...

Though she had already begun documenting her meteoric 2019 breakout when Live Nation asked her about becoming the subject of a documentary, pop-rap superstar Lizzo said, “We didn’t really know what it was gonna be about. I was afraid it would be boring.” Three years, two Grammy-winning albums, and one historic, Emmy-winning reality competition series later, her Max film “Love, Lizzo” proved that her life has been anything but.
Looking cozy on a long brown leather sofa inside a Burbank recording studio, wearing an all-black Yitty ensemble she had previewed on Instagram an hour before the interview, Lizzo told IndieWire that the original concept for her documentary was to take the footage they had of her planning her 2019 Coachella and VMAs sets (a process that inspired her Prime Video series “Watch Out For The Big Grrls“) and bring in director Doug Pray (“Hype!”) to help tell her origin story, and...

This article contains spoilers for "Yellowjackets" season 2 episode 9.
After a complex, fascinating, brutal two months, the "Yellowjackets" season finale is here. "Storytelling" is directed by the brilliant Karyn Kusama, so we should already be prepared for some horror and a whole lot of heartbreak. The episode opens with an always killer needle-drop, "Zombie" by The Cranberries. It underscores a nearly comatose teenage Nat walking through the wilderness and heading back to the cabin knowing she must tell Travis that Javi has drowned.
Travis is relieved to see her alive but immediately mortified when the rest of the girls come back with a half-frozen Javi hanging from a wooden bar. "The wilderness chose," she tells him, but Travis' grief is insurmountable. His little brother who finally returned after months of being missing in the woods is gone. Really, really gone.
In the present timeline, adult Shauna agrees with Lottie's plan...

The Netflix series Stranger Things will soon be heading into production on its fifth and final season – so soon that David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper on the show, will be working on both Stranger Things and the Marvel movie Thunderbolts at the same time in Atlanta this year. And cast member Sadie Sink is not looking forward to the show ending, saying that the idea of Stranger Things coming to an end is “scary and sad”.
Speaking with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush on Today, Sink said (with thanks to Deadline), “We know that it’s happening and that it’s the last season, so it’s going to be emotional, I’m sure. Spoiler-free, just with the way my character ended in season 4, I have no idea what is going to happen. But I’ll be there. … (Stranger Things ending) is going to be awful. It’s going to be horrible.

When The New Yorker's Pauline Kael wrote of Don Siegel's "Dirty Harry" in 1971 that the American cop thriller "has always had a fascist potential, and it has finally surfaced," she kicked off a fierce debate about the genre that still roils today.
Taken at face value, it's difficult to dispute that the film is meant to titillate viewers with the ultimate, judge-jury-executioner justice pursued and dispensed by Clint Eastwood's Harry Callahan. He despises the Miranda Warning, and complains that the United States' judicial system has been corrupted to favor the rights of criminals. The screenplay, credited to Harry Julian Fink, R.M. Fink, and Dean Riesner, stacks the deck to a ludicrous degree by having Andrew Robinson's Scorpio Killer orchestrate an act of police brutality late in the movie to get Callahan kicked off the case. At this moment, it feels like we're meant to throw our hands...

Maggie Lindemann rocks a revealing cutout dress. Pic credit: ©ImageCollect.com/Kristin Callahan/Ace Pictures
Singer-songwriter Maggie Lindemann didn’t appear to be the typical girl next door in a newly shared picture.
Posing for Instagram, she rocked a revealing little black mini-dress that left little to the imagination.
She is known for her gothic looks, and this latest outfit was no exception.
The black leather dress featured cutout details on the front of the dress and a plunging neckline creating a daring look for the singer.
A silver stud trim added some eye-catching detail to the jaw-dropping dress, which Maggie paired with a pair of shiny patent knee-high boots.
To finish off the look, she wore a spiked choker with a cross necklace and a spiked cuff around her wrist to match. Her tattoos complimented the outfit, and she completed it with some heavy black liner around her eyes.

Clint Eastwood’s “Dirty Harry” series of films are some of the most iconic American action movies ever made. Spanning two decades and five films, the “Dirty Harry” franchise looks at America’s changing attitude toward law enforcement and justice.
The first film, “Dirty Harry,” was released in 1971 and was an instant classic, spawning four sequels over the next two decades. While each film is excellent in its own right, there is a clear progression in how America is depicted, from a place of hope and optimism in the first film to a much more cynical and jaded outlook by the fifth film.
The story of all the movies revolves around a San Francisco Police Department inspector, “Dirty” Harry Callahan, played by Clint Eastwood. If you are a fan of action-packed cinema, you should watch “Dirty Harry” movies.

On paper, Clint Eastwood seems to have enjoyed a well plotted out career. In the early 1960s, he made himself known to American television viewers via his role as Rowdy Yates on "Rawhide." From there, he segued to the newfangled Spaghetti Westerns of Sergio Leone as the laconic "Man with No Name" in the "Dollars Trilogy." As conventional Westerns faded out of fashion, Eastwood made violent, anti-mythic oaters like "Hang 'Em High" and "The Outlaw Josey Wales," while adopting the persona of Dirty Harry Callahan in a series of cop flicks that both capitalized on and tweaked the country's law-and-order fervor. Then, after a few stumbles in the late 1980s, Eastwood went full-on revisionist with "Unforgiven," at which point he became a perennial Oscar darling.
Amazingly, Eastwood is still plugging away at 92. That kind of career longevity isn't just rare, it's just about unprecedented. Only Portuguese filmmaker Manoel de Oliveira,...

Elle Callahan To Write And Direct Adaptation Of Graphic Novel ‘Hotell’ As Awa Studios Ramps Up Slate
Exclusive: Awa Studios has tapped Elle Callahan to direct a feature film adaptation of the company’s original graphic fiction series Hotell. She will also co-adapt the script with Anthony Ruff. Awa Studios president Zach Studin is producing.
“I’m very excited to be working with Awa to adapt John Lees’ terrifying graphic novel Hotell,” Callahan said. “I aim to tell stories that push the horror genre in new directions — and my plan for this piece involves a very unique approach to the storytelling. This horror will feel all too relatable, and no doubt keep you up at night.”
The graphic novel presents a story of dread and intrigue and a mosaic of characters, set in the mysterious and frightening backdrop of the Pierrot Courts Hotel. It was written by well-known comic book creator Lees, drawn by artist Dalibor Talajic, and edited by Awa co-founder and chief creative officer Axel Alonso.

A group of 200 top writers, producers and directors have signed an open letter backed by the Brady gun violence organization that includes a pledge to incorporate gun safety best practices into their shows and to scrutinize the use of firearms in storytelling.
The list of signatories (click here to see the letter) includes Shonda Rhimes, Bill Lawrence, Jimmy Kimmel and the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” writing staff, Michelle and Robert King, Judd Apatow, Steve Levitan, David Shore, Matt Nix, Dan Lin and Jenni Konner. The letter frames gun safety an urgent social issue for the industry to embrace, in the same way that intentional depictions of such topics as cigarette smoking, drunk driving, the use of seat belts, marriage equality and LGBT rights helped change cultural attitudes and save lives.
“As America’s storytellers, our goal is primarily to entertain, but we also acknowledge that stories have the power to effect change.
