What’s really great about the world of television is that it offers you so many different life scenarios that sometimes you forget it’s only fiction. Or on the contrary, the picture we see on screen is so far from reality you find yourself frustrated when a minor inconvenience enters your life.
The same goes even about TV friendships: they are either ideal, where every character is ready to do whatever it takes to make his friend happy, or they are really toxic. One of the brightest examples of such friendships is Euphoria’s Maddy and Cassie. The betrayals they went through destroying each other’s lives, while declaring unconditional love to each other before is just scary…
But there are even worse stories: let’s check out these 5 other couples that have love-hate relationships.

Exclusive: Pack One Bag is a new podcast documentary series that tells the story of two Italians married on the run escaping Mussolini’s “Racial Laws,” and the story of the family they left behind, fighting to survive the Nazi occupation of Rome.
It comes from documentarian David Modigliani, who was behind HBO’s Running with Beto, who is the grandson of the pair, and Stanley Tucci who lends his voice to the story and exec produces.
The ten-part series is distributed by Lemonada Media, the company that recently struck a major podcast deal with Meghan Markle, as revealed by Deadline. It premieres on June 5.
Tucci is also developing a scripted television adaptation with Modigliani.
Modigliani’s grandfather, Italian-born economist Franco Modigliani, won the Nobel Prize in 1985. But, behind the love story that made his victory possible – a fairytale escape from Fascist Italy with his soon-to-be-bride Serena and her family...

It’s truly baffling how deeply some people can get caught up in cults, isn’t it? The way they manipulate and control individuals through superstition and rituals is just shocking. And the more shocking part is that it’s not just ordinary people who fall victim to these schemes; even scientists and celebrities can get drawn in, like Tom Cruise with Scientology or Brigitte Boisselier with Raël’s cult. It’s like they’re living in a whole different reality! I recently watched A Deadly Threat to My Family by Erin Lovett, and let me tell you, Serena’s (Gina Vitori) story had me questioning all these things even more! Leaving a cult like the Builders of Ascension takes some serious guts, and then the leader, Olef, gets arrested. Also there is this prophecy called “The Rise,” saying the world’s about to end within a week and they...

It seems like every procedural show has a slow-burn pairing. CSI teased Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle for seven seasons before they officially started dating.
Josh Folsom (Matt Lauria) and Allie Rajan (Mandeep Dhillon) have danced around their relationship for three seasons. Has the endless teasing of their romance become too much, or do you enjoy Josh and Allie's relationship?
If someone had asked that question in CSI: Vegas Season 2, I would have responded that the love triangle with Serena was a horrible look, along with teasing their relationship. However, the two of them now stand a chance at a real relationship.
Josh and Allie worked right away as partners, and there was believable sexual tension between them. They were billed as a young Grissom and Sara in many ways, though long-time CSI fans didn't appreciate that.
Allie was more methodical and tightly wound and needed to learn to experience...

Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two has been regarded as the filmmaker’s masterpiece and has been reigning at the box office since its release earlier in March. With $577 million at the global box office, the film has become the highest-grossing film of the year. Based on Frank Herbert’s novel series, the film starred Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya in lead roles.
While most critics and fans have been applauding Villeneuve’s vision for the sci-fi epic, there have been criticisms of the movie regarding its depiction of people hailing from Mena backgrounds. Critics noted the absence of significant members of Middle Eastern and North African descent in speaking roles, despite the films being inspired heavily by the cultures of the region and people.

It’s time for the entertainment industry to evolve beyond Princess Jasmine. For the longest time, Disney’s “Aladdin” icon was the only representation many Muslim women had, allowing the only positive space where we could exist — never mind that it was exotified, sexualized and through the white male gaze. At least it was sold to us as better than the other familiar end of the spectrum: being the oppressed victim, or worse, a violent terrorist. Growing up to realize that even our beloved Jasmine pushed problematic tropes was like other kids discovering Santa wasn’t real — and, damn, maybe we are on our own.
Enter: a new on-screen test for Muslim women in TV and film called “From ‘Surviving’ to Thriving.” The test, developed by the Geena Davis Institute, Muslim Casting, and Pillars Fund, with Muslim Girl as media partner, critiques Muslim representation in projects on a new sliding grade scale from A-f.

Bron Studios is lending a helping hand to Aapi Creatives, a networking group started by Zosimo Maximo to amplify Asian American voices working in the industry.
Maximo used Clubhouse to form a group of Aapi filmmakers who are inspired to change the narrative in Hollywood and build new opportunities for themselves. The group consists of Becky Baihui Chen, D.J. Jiang, Serena Rasoul, Diane Paragas, Jay DasGupta, Ashwini Prasad, Dinh Thai, Soma Helmi, Ruth Du and David Moriya.
Brenda Gilbert, the co-founder and president of Bron Studios, said it wasn’t until this year that she realized how much power Clubhouse had in terms of “getting people together and having open conversations with like-minded people that you wouldn’t generally have access to before.” Gilbert said she wants to make herself accessible to the members of Maximo’s networking group.
